I am also 1/8 Cherokee. I almost certainly had ancestors on the Trail of Tears, but I don't whine about it. Are you implying that I hate 1/8 of myself because I feel the way I do? Or 1/4 of my father?

You've bought into the mainstream thought that "white people are the oppressors" just because their ancestors did some really screwed up things. Ahh, sorry. You confused my response with a response just to that topic. In fact, I was saying you should calm down. Then I tried to address the rest of the thread (that's why I switched to the topic of berating and joking).

Clarification of my last point:
You came out and said: "ATOT is racist"
People responded: "Shut up. Your post is dumb."
You replied: "You're just saying that because you're racist."
I'm saying: "I'm not racist (with an example), but I still think you're wrong."

Also, I don't know about the census numbers, but I wouldn't blanketly state that "17% Asian" is proportionate without some facts to back it up. It may very well be a "large number."
