Come on Dems ask Turley a question. Let him make more of a fool of himself. I quess that will be the only person the Pubs will query. I wonder why.

It is kind of bonkers that one of Trump's likely co-conspirators was allowed to help conduct the impeachment inquiry. There's a non-trivial chance Nunes ends up in prison by the time this is all done, which would be very satisfying.
I expect the House to hold an ethics hearing on Nunes. Heard an interview with Jackie Spier. She was asked since you had the phone records why didn't you put Nunes on the stand? Her response was since he wasn't on the agenda for what they were covering it would have been improper.

They didn't have Nunes's name at first but once they figured out it was him he should have been put on the stand. Fuck proper, play hardball.

Haha it sure is! Barr should absolutely be impeached.

Our country is held together by everyone generally agreeing that the system is more important than winning any one political fight. That appears to have broken down though.
For this country to fully heal all those shitheads need to goto jail. A loud message need to be sent for all politicians in the future.

They need to ask turley some questions. His answers need to be exposed and countered.

Karlan cites Brett Kavanaugh’s legal opinion on why foreigners should not be allowed to contribute to US candidates. Haha

Karlan has been particularly effective here.
This kind of thing should be a key strategy here, point out how Republicans actually no-kidding really do support impeachment as long as you remove the Trump name, then ask why the Trump name should make this president immune to impeachment.

Nice to see Karlan giving Collins a hard slap for insulting her to imply she was not ascertaining the facts in advance of the hearing.

Also loved Professor Gerhardt finally saying the most important thing that needed saying: If this is not impeachable conduct, we may as well do away with the process, because it will have been rendered meaningless.

And ...somehow I'm not persuaded by the Turley Golden Doodle Defense

They need to ask turley some questions. His answers need to be exposed and countered.

I mean, majority counsel pretty much negated Turley’s entire opening statement by asking him a single question:

Counsel: “Did you write that commission of a crime isn’t necessary for an impeachment?”

Turley: “Err, but I qualified that with...”

Counsel: “Yes or no question...did you write [that]?”

Turley: “Yes”

And Fox is very concerned about abusing the abuse of power claim. Where is it going to end?

I gotta be honest, I’m not exactly sure why Judiciary is interviewing law scholars and not fact witnesses. We should be going after every witness/principle who refused a subpoena and continue to get the facts out in the open—not worry about whether the public understands this is a constitutional impeachment proceeding. This seems like a waste of time to me.

I agree and what I’m saying is that we need more of that. Dems need to counter the republicans arguments before the republicans have a chance to use and cement them into the conversation.

House Intel already called all the fact witnesses that are willing to testify.

I'd love love LOVE to see that happen. I'm not sure the Dems have the balls or muscle to go that far though.

I don’t think you are understanding the process here. An impeachment is a political process. What that means is that it’s not about crimes being committed but it’s also about explaining to the public why it’s being done.

These witnesses are explaining why it’s being done.
