The Repubs have good reason why they want the Dems to proceed to actual impeachment. Those same reasons are why Schiff and Pelosi, et al, will call off the dogs, er will chicken out. I bet they cant get the votes in the house anyway, due to the threat this poses to Dems in the districts Trump won. Nadler's move next. I sense a fizzle coming. Trump will have to be handled in the election.

I see you’ve began attempting comedy. Just because your buddies think it’s fine doesn’t mean it is.

What are those reasons, pray tell? Do they really want to be seen as helping Trump evade Justice?

I will bet you $100 real dollars that I will send to a mod or admin here if one is willing and that you do the same. If the House does not impeach then the money is sent to you. If it does then it goes to me.

Money meets the mouth. What do you say?

Take vegas odds. It's 100 get you 300 if they don't impeach, and 300 gets you 100 if they do.

Voters have been turning out in droves and voting Democrat in a majority of districts that Trump won, over the last two years.

I wonder why you are believing something that fundamentally rejects the observable truth?

What did you expect him to do? Accept reality and change his thinking? No, it’s much easier to simply deny reality and maintain your beliefs and that is today’s republican, what’s left of them.

If the aid was truly held up to induce Ukraine to further fight corruption and not for Trumps personal political reasons why was the aid released when Congress began to investigate? Shouldn't he have stuck to his "principles" ?

I hear what you're saying but the only alternative is that Trump was lying about his justification for withholding aid and we both know that can't possibly be true.

It really detests me that the Republicans (namely Nunes, and now Collins) are presenting this like it's supposed to be an argument, or a 'trial', in the sense that the President should be defended in some way... that's never been the point of impeachment. Making a damn mockery of the process.

I don’t think naddler will be able to handle this committee like Schiff was able to.

It is kind of bonkers that one of Trump's likely co-conspirators was allowed to help conduct the impeachment inquiry. There's a non-trivial chance Nunes ends up in prison by the time this is all done, which would be very satisfying.

The accusation that Trump might have principles is slander. Shame on you for even suggesting such a thing.

He doesn’t seem to command the knowledge and the ins and outs of Parliamental procedures. He knows them but he’s not as quick as Schiff is at countering them. That’s just my first impressions though.

Let’s not forget, he’s the guy that thought it was smart to use a bucket of chicken as a prop.
