It's all in the way you interpret it, just as the bible... If you really, REALLY want to believe either the bible or Nostradamus, all you have to do is explain which events the predictions refer to. Nostradamus predictions are just as correct as the ones in the bible.

The only FACT here is that there are NO FACTS, you can choose to believe whatever you want to believe, so can i, but neither you nor i can actually prove that our beliefs are correct.

I know in the old testemant it sayed to sacrifice animals to GOD... But, In the new testement it says NOT to... Because Jesus made the Ultimate sacrifice for us, on the CROSS. Here is one contradiction... right???

Whoever made that site didn't take the time to look the other contradictions answers up. I havent either, But if I were to find a contradiction I would KNOW that somewhere in the Bible it tells exactly why and how the contradiction worked.


If it was something that bother me I would ask a pastor What it meant... Why dont you guys ask someone Knowledgeable In the BIBLE. He/She would give you alot better answers than I can, with my limited Bible Knowledge...

No, actually we took a world wide poll. Chritians lost, the hindu multi god concept wins hands down (up?) Since none of the worlds religions can come to any form of agreement on their believes it is only logical to assume that they (we?) are all guessing. The main difference between you and modern science is that at least science knows and admits to its guesses (dark matter) rather then attributing it to god and thinking they are done.

Fool, if you would have read some of those sites that were listed on that linked site, you would have known about the countless contradictions in the bible, especially in the New Testament.

On a sidenote, the first commandment is being violated by the US willingly: the death-penalty. The first commandment says &quot;thou shall not kill.&quot; and not &quot;thou shall not kill, unless someone kills a relative/friend of you.&quot;.

I just went and looked at engins link. Very interesting material. I can see why a good christian would refuse to read it.

Seems to agree with a lot of the the things I have been saying. Considering all the changes that christianity has been through how could the bible possibly be infallible. Why can't they agree on what it says.

I have a feeling that DrD. is young and just begining to explore the world. I hope that the converstations we have had here will start him thinking. He needs, he needs to develope a critial mind and analyze everything he reads or hears with that mind. To blindly accept the words of any single book is dangerous.

When you dismiss people as somehow less than you because of their beliefs you demonstrate it.

Believe it or not, there are a lot of people out there who are a lot smarter than you are, and who STILL are Christian.

I've read Genesis a few times and never found any statement or sentence that pointed to the existance of those animals. Therefore, according to the bible, those animals never existed because they're never mentioned

the bible has its horizon limited to the Middle-East. For that was the only place those wandering tribes who told those myths knew about. Those tribes of course had never met any kangaroos, dinosaurs, etc. so they didn't include those in their stories

Glad to meet you Joe.

You really should broaden your horizons, try reading some nonchristian works. If your beliefs have a solid foundation there can be nothing to fear there. Only if your house is built on sand, as the teachings go, do you have anything to fear. You have a lot to be afraid of.

I believe whatever i want to believe, i don't care if no one else believes it, you on the other hand have a need to convince people that your beliefs are the correct ones, and that it is a FACT...

You do not KNOW what will happen when you die, nobody does, you have FAITH, you BELIEVE in something, that is ok, but you still don't KNOW.

The bible is a collection of mystical myths, nothing else, you can interpret it and make it fit, but then again, you can do that with Nostradamus predictions too...

I have a feeling that you will defend your beliefs at any cost, well, if you see any need to defend your beliefs then you have to be a bit insecure in your beliefs...
