It seem that several of you have designed your so-called "gods" to be what you would want them to be. Drink Beer/ Have sex/ lie/ cheat/ect.... how much farther is it for a Kid growing up to pull out a gun and shoot someone... Then you throw the evolution in there and they think that there ANGER is animal Instict . what regrets do they have for doing these things? Noone to answer to Besides the LAW but that hasnt seemed to stop the last several HORRIFIC school shooting???
I am but One man, all I can do is look up to what I KNOW is instore for me And know that god watchs over HIS children (whoever Beleives in him)...

Wrong, as usual, actually the radius of the earth was measured quite accurately by an ancient Greek (Certianly not a Christian so must have been a scientist), whose name escapes me, will do some looking and see if I can find it. All these historic misintepetations? How you be sure that you will not be left high and dry by the next version? You are first to claim that Colombus based his explorations on his unique interpetation of the bible. Most historians feel they were based on old maps.

Yes... it was an ancient greek ( I too forget his name). He measured the shadows in one city at noon, and another 400 miles south at noon as well. The shadows were tilted differently, showing that the earth was curved. He then deduced, within about 3% error, the diameter of the earth. Pretty good for no calculators or advanced mathematics. Just curiosity, a few sticks to measure the shadows, and time.

I'm sure there are a few different answers to who discovered the earth was round, I was always taught COLUMBUS. And even if someone else did discover it. Fine heritage, I sure am happy to part of that tradition. The history of the Christian church in the new world is NOT somehthing to be proud of. It is this tradition that your attidude repersents and is the main reason that many thoughtful good people want nothing to do with your version of the church. As I said earlier,if the devil extists as you believe then you are the mouthpiece of the devil as you drive more people from christianity then you attract.

Actually... the Vikings came here in around the 6th Century. Columbus didnt' discover it at all.

Columbus did not sail around the world. That was Magellen, seems your basic history is pretty weak. You should study something other then the bible for a while.

There are as many interpetations of the bible out there as there are christians. You spend way to much time in the bible and evidently not enough in the real world.
