Do you think that Robertson speaks for God?
Determining what God says or wants, then, is of utmost importance.Only when his words agree with God.
But how to do that? What do we do when people in the Church hierarchy have differing interpretations of what God says or wants?
That is exactly what I am saying.
Edit:
Think of this as a court room. I will bring my case with a voracity that will challenge my Liberal/Democrat/Heathen enemies to really dig deep and hold on, to prevail.
I note that most run away, give up, call me a troll, etc.
I did get a 4 day vacation, which I fully accept as that is what I agreed to when I joined. However, I am not sure why. I was told in broad terms. Hopefully, I will be allowed to continue to share my views without censure.
I will attempt to give it strong while maintaining decorum.
No need for the pig when there is this freak to entertain....{disgusting drivel}...
Just because you state your case with 'voracity' does not make it a fact.
Your basis for argument is your belief or faith in your God. Good for you, but belief or faith does not equal facts and nor does it stand the test of Logical reasoning.
Your argument is something like, "I believe this circle is square shaped". It does not matter what others think or can perceive, to you it looks like a square. And you will defend your point of view. Therefore it is futile to argue or discuss the topic with you or try to use logic.
It would help if you could remember: 1) Your belief is your personal belief. 2) Not everyone buys your belief. 3) No one likes others belief forced on them.
I was there when he created the pit for the devil and his demons.May I ask, with all respect, how old are you?
To shed a little light on the current flavor of "fundamentalist evangelical Christianity", everyone needs to know that a *few* people of influence are steering the agenda of the church; an agenda, it seems, that serves the purpose of men rather than God. But being done in God's name.
This brings money, power, adulation. And death. When religion throws in with government (and military) you've got trouble. Those who are "the other" (not one of "us") become a target. Add the element of fear and it's justifiable to remove civil rights and even preemptively kill.
I was there when he created the pit for the devil and his demons.
When he calculated the Universe, he weighed the drop in the palm of his hand.
I shed a tear when my Brother agreed to be the sacrifice for Adam's sin.
When all of Heaven fell silent as my Father turned his back on my brother, I thought we were finished.
I have seen into the future as my Brother (as it is written - the sword in his mouth) says it so simply to Satan, go to Hell, and ends his reign.
I look out and note that his glory is from the West to the Rising of the Sun.

Mark 3
"I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."
I use About.com for all my spiritual and theological needs! Here is an excellent explanation about what it is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit:
"I believe, the only unforgivable sin is the rejection of Jesus Christ's offer of salvation, His free gift of eternal life, and thus, His forgiveness from sin. If you don't accept His gift, you cannot be forgiven. If you deny the Holy Spirit's entrance into your life, to work His sanctification in you, you cannot be cleansed from unrighteousness. Perhaps this is too simple an explanation, but it is the one that makes the most sense to me in light of the Scriptures.
Therefore, "blasphemy against the Holy Ghost" can be understood as a continued and persistently stubborn rejection of the gospel of salvation. This would be an "unpardonable sin" because as long as a person remains in unbelief, he voluntarily excludes himself from forgiveness of sin." Source About.com
Keep bringing it!

Wisdom (aka, common sense to the heathen and the immature) is where you find it.
Agree?
Definitely not finding it here.

Just for the record, all of your Bible mumbo-jumbo carries no weight for me and has no real value as fact or evidence. So, as far as I am concerned, its use does constitute any form of argument.
Your history of Pat the nut-job left out an awful lot. Where is the part about his supporting an oppressive ruler simply to enrich himself? How about keeping the women barefoot and pregnant? There are whole lists people have compiled of the stupid things he has said. Didn't you commit a sin of omission by only mentioning what you thought positives about him?
I also think you know little about Voodoo. How do you know that your god cursed them? Do you hear voices?
Since virtually no one with any standing in any religious circle is backing him up on this, and a large number are actually voicing condemnation, I'd say that you are a voice in the wilderness, way out of anything mainstream.
