Give it a few months, Warner will switch. HD-DVD is cheaper, and fully suppords HD video specifications.
The way between the two formats is over, the next war will be between Blu Ray and Digital with digital winning.
I don't see BD 'losing' to digital streaming content delivery... why? Because there is always going to be a market for physical. No reliance on the internet for movies is going to be a big thing, and right now, the networks across America could not reliably provide the same quality content on BD, hell.. could easily be a few years before streaming HD video rivals BD, if not far longer. And again, even when it does rival the quality, not everyone is going to want to go that route. It's great for rental, but people still like owning films, and that proves easiest to do with physical copies.
I suspect it'll be a decade before we totally rely on streaming video, at least.
BD will probably be around for quite awhile before streaming hurts the market, as the number of HDTV owners is still remarkably low, and I doubt 1440p will make it to market anytime soon. It'll be pointless as the assorted cable and satellite networks definitely cannot handle 1440p/1440i broadcasts.
