Of course they are related. You have heads of Government, hiding money they got from the United States. You have rich people hiding money from Americas taxes.

Greetings norseamd,

Please continue to post links and info relating to this topic. I haven't read all of the responses yet, are there any Americans implicated thus far?

best regards,

Not really. Government concentrates power and money. To a lesser extent, Corporations concentrate power and money, and to an even lesser state, individuals concentrate power and money.

Who are the villains here? Almost all of them Government. Some corporate. Some individual.

Zorkorist: It's BOTH, the government AND individual wealthy/corporates.

You think that "more government", aka less regulations would be bad. I think that it needs more regulations since without them, corporate greed runs wild. Proof: Everywhere. I am not for "bigger government" (whatever this is supposed to be) but more rules/legislation what corporates are not allowed to do. THIS is why I support Bernie.

Also...so-called "socialist" government doesn't necessarily mean "bigger gvt", this is nonsense. For instance, Finland is planning a pilot to replace welfare and whatever gvt. benefits with a monthly lump-sum payment. This is something which would get rid of MASSIVE gvt...plus it encourages people to actually work. (Since they can keep the monthly payment, regardless whether they work or not).

This will all end uneventful. We like our corrupt leaders, governments and organizations. As long as we get our Kardashians and Smartphones to plug our brain into and go numb we don't bother.

Sadly, this is true. I've alluded to this a few times on here.

A 'guaranteed minimum income' type payment to replace the current welfare structure has been discussed off and on for years and has merit. Sadly, I don't see something like this being implemented in the US as DC loves its bureaucracy. The thought of potentially scaling back a huge chunk of your government would set DC into a terminal panic.

Welfare is a favorite whipping boy of the right but AFDC is such a miniscule part of the federal budget compared to other things I've never understood its boogeyman characterizations.

I'm not whipping welfare at all. And the 'welfare umbrella' is more than AFDC. You need to work on your reading comprehension.

Greetings,

Interesting article Norseamd, but it failed to list any names that I could see. Please continue to post links here as you find them. Thanks.

I am going to guess, when all is said and done, that the Donald is not named in the panama papers. He doesn't seem to have a problem repeatedly exploiting American legal protections to do business. Not hiding it seems to have helped him.

For general business there isn't much of a need for US businesses to particpate in what Mossack did. If there's any there it's going to be solely to hide questionable stock transactions etc...

Don't see it involving many US businesses personally.
