WOW, those are some of the widest salary ranges I've seen.
Programmer Analyst 2 : 45k - 81k
Programmer Analyst 3: 54k - 98k
Programmer Analyst 4: 66k - 119k
Programmer Analyst 5: 72k - 130k

that's because all UC positions are step based. the range expresses the absolute minimum and maximum that you could expect to make in that position. depending on the position, I believe they can hire you at up to the midpoint of the range (so if the range is $40K to $80K, they could hire you up to $60K)

UC benefits are among the best, any disparities in pay are most likely made up for in benefits/work environment...

The cost of living may kill you though.

Wow, at first I didn't realize what you guys were talking about.

Hopefully although the posts may be slow sometimes that this thread has helped many with the job situation out there. I know of a handful of successes. I said from the first post that it is worth it if just one person was able to land a job, any more than that is pure gravy.

Congrats and thanks to all that have posted job postings.

I know this is a computer forum and all, so most of the jobs will be for engineering and CS but do any of you know of some good places to find entry level marketing positions. I think it'd be great to work for a tech company or a consumer goods company like P&G or Kraft so I could get into Brand/Product management. If anyone knows of anything or has any contacts, please PM me or post it up. Tia.

Long term unemployed Informix DBA/ HPUX system admin/ Informix programmer looking for work anywhere from Seattle WA down to Olympia WA.
I'm currently learning SQL-Server admin. I've passed the first win2k server test -- on my way to a MCDBA.

Would best fit anything Informix or HPUX unix-admin related, but my interests are anything from programming (informix 4GL, vb.net, java) to unix-admin (hp, sun, linux) to database-admin/development (informix, sql-server, db2, oracle).

Would probably take any technical job that lets me learn while doing.

Please PM me if you know of anything

thanks
