Also been working the past few years doing technical support for laptops (IBM thinkpads and Dell's mainly). Just graduated with my MS, so entry level positions are fine, anything to get my foot in the door.

MS = Masters of Science. right? shouldn't you want more than entry level with six years of experience?

Yes, MS=Masters of Science. 6 years of schooling != 6 years of work experience. I've got 1 year of co-op experience, various technical jobs/experience during the 4 years I was an undergrad, and worked two jobs during the two years I was working on my Masters (teaching assistant and Laptop Support Technician). I do want more than just an entry level position (and pay), but given the economy, I can't be too choosy. However, depending on the type of job I might apply for and be able to get, I would be more comfortable starting out at an entry level position. IT or Technical Support, I think I definately have enough experience and confidence in myself to start out with more responsibilities than an entry level position would have, but I'm not so confident in my abilities as a software developer/engineer. I worked about 3 months writing test scripts as a co-op, another 4 month doing what I would consider real software engineering, and the rest of my experience in software engineering comes from college classes (which don't count towards work experience). The only other time I've programmed are some light stuff like writing virus and spyware removal tools or tools to automate some technical support processes to make my life easier at work. I don't know, am I selling myself short here?

Pacific sunwear

hiring for a bunch of different positions. Laid back atmosphere shorts and sandals to work everyday. Pay isnt the greatest for many of the positions but it is better than being unemployed.

Looking for something in either the East or South SF Bay Area, or the Modesto area. I have a BS in Business with a concentration in MIS. 4 years experience as Technical Support Engineer. Looking for something in desktop support, technical support, help desk support, etc. Getting really desperate because I've got about a month and half of unemployment left, so if you know of an In and Out Burger hiring, I might just have to take that.
