I'd love it if at least one of them would be so kind as to send some money my way. It would need to come with a signed contract stating that they won't attempt to retrieve any of it following the alleged end of the world.

Staggering stupidity. Religion is just a hoax, but truly an opiate for the masses, those without the courage to realize that there is no afterlife. This is nothing more than willful and deliberate ignorance. But will provide a good chuckle for all those riding the subway or bus after 5/21, until they are taken down.

I need to make sure I tune in. Camping believes that you were destined for salvation then that's it. Everything was decided before the universe came to be and you can't change that. That means putting up signs is stupid beyond the obvious. On one hand he says beg for forgiveness then says there's nothing to be done.

I am always curious to what happens to these people and the predictions after the date comes and passes without note. For example, the russian professor what predicted the USA would collapse in 2010
 
I will actually be roasting ~20-30 lbs of pork Friday evening and serving it on Saturday for our local, uh, science meeting.

I figure, with 98% of the world's human-created gods accepting animal sacrifices for appeasement, I should have most of my bases covered.

I'd say we just ignore them, but they seem to want to live literally by what the Bible says.... So let's see....

I think I might go pick up some instant tortilla mix and seal it in mylar bags, and maybe some more 22 long rifle ammunition.

Even if nothing happens, I cam always use more ammo and food.
 
The local morning show called a guy in California who believes this. Was a hilarious interview. The host asked if he had documents drawn up today would the guy agree to sign over all assets he has beyond what he needs for the next week, and the guy just responds with "well it won't matter because after Saturday money is irrelevant." One of the cohosts asked how did Noah get all the animals on the boat since we are discovering new species every day, and the guy responded by saying that Noah just had 1 pair of each general animal. For example, 1 male and 1 female dog. He said that all species today are derived from those on the Ark, but it's not evolution. They also asked him why we have no evidence of a global flood. His response? "Well they have found elephant remains in Canada, and seashells in Arizona." Congrats, you have now discovered plate techtonics!

The refusal to do such a thing is just the result of the last surviving remnants of reason trying to cough up some influence in the back of their minds.

Even so, there are still a lot of different species, and if the hardcore Creationists still say that one species cannot become another, well...there's still not going to be enough space on the Ark for all of them.
If the premise of "1 male and 1 female dog" and "general animal" is good enough, then they'd have to accept evolution.
But when that starts to happen, the few remaining neurons of reason get Tased by the neurons of blind faith and pride.
