Bleh! Anyways, next time they know how much harder to hit it.

Redman is doing HORRIBLE! :(

Thank goodness they got him outta there. Don't even feel comfortable with Helling. Might as well get the butterfly's outta the way. :/

Marlins just got robbed so badly in the 7th inning. So many umps to avoid mistakes and none of them can see that the foul ball bounced off Cabrera's ankle. It wouldn't of been that bad but the Yankees got a free double play. MLB really does need replays. Oh well....

They still got a chance. Slim....but still a chance. :)

6-0 Yank bottom of the 7th

It didn't make a sound, it didn't change the direction of the ball (it looked like it brushed his pantleg, didn't touch him). It should have been called, but can you really blame the umps? Did you see it in real-time?

Fox needs to focus a little more on the game and lot less on Joe Millionaire in stands...

Boone finally gets a hit.
Oh I forgot. The last hit could be the last all playoffs and it wouldn't matter. ;)

I was watching the game in real time and as soon as he hit the ball I knew it wasn't a fairball. If the ball didn't hit Cabrera I'm sure he would've been off and running like any other person. Thing is he should've at least hopped on one leg when he got hit instead of just taking it. Sorta like how Jeter makes all those awkward movements for balls and strikes and even hopped all the way to the dugout when the ball hit him. I'm sure because of that incident there will be a talk to make some kind of gesture when you get hit by the ball. That was a strange ball though how if it wouldn't of hit his ankle it would've been foul.

Only reason I truly blame the umps its because they blew a call, plain and simple and could've been the beggining of a rally. Instead of having Pudge at 1st and maybe at 2nd with one out we get a double play that shouldn't of happened in the first place. Which could lead to runs and Petitte getting out of the game sooner and then the yankees relying on their shaky bullpen. Just a lot of ifs, ands, or buts. That play just shouldn't of happened.

GOOO MARLINS!!! RALLY IN THE NINTH WITH TWO OUTS!!!!

It's okay... you still love him.

i would love him more if he got more hits ;)

on the bright side, Pettite was great and it's 1-1 going to Miami.

God, this guy interviewing Matsui on Fox is an IDIOT. WTF kind of responses does he expect?

Forgot to mention, anyone else think this would've been a completely different game if Redman wouldn't of plunked Giambi in the 1st?

I saw that as one of the biggest momentum swingers in the game. Just picking off Soriano and then 1-1 against Giambi and then you just plunk him. :/
It's all about the little things and that little thing caused a humongous snowball effect in that inning that just stuck throughout the rest of the game. Confidence wise at least.

Any thoughts?

well that also relates to how pudge threw that great pick off to get johnson yesterday. that could have been a yankee victory instead...but i'm not going to second guess it. i'm not the one who's playing on the field and feeling the pressure, good or bad.

Well it's better than sitting at home watching your archrivals play because your team didn't have what it takes to advance.
