What makes a major league team in your opinion? They are still both relatively new teams. (Compared to the majority) Thing about both of em is lack of funding, which leads to lack of fans. (Why support something if you don't see the organization supporting it?) Both times the management has actually spent money on the Marlins they have ended up in the World Series. People that say the 97 team was bought are true but aren't all teams bought? Look at the Yankees and even the Red Sox and Cubs. They see position players that they need and are available and they will invest in them if they think they are going to have a chance at the big game. It was just the Marlins bought for short-term unlike the Yankees that buy for long-term. Just smart business. Don't get me wrong I don't hate the Yankees. Stein can do whatever he wants with all of his money. Hell at least their money is being invested well and they do see results. Just that not having salary caps hurt the competition overall. Anyways enough blabbering.

Pretty good game so far. I've been impressed with Florida's defense and alertness. Anyone know how the Marlins bullpen is? I think that's going to be a big factor this series with each pitching staff at least somewhat depleted. Pettite's pitching tomarrow on 3 days rest. I imagine Florida is in a similar situation?

The Marlins pitching has been pretty rock solid if you ask me.(If you don't count the 1st innings of most games cuz of shakyness) The only real trouble I remember Urbina getting in game 1 at chicago when sammy hit his 2 run homer. Other than that he's been amazing. Chad Fox also has been clutch. Pavano also. Only people I really worry about is Looper and Willis. Also our pitching rotation isn't that bad because we had one extra day off than the Yanks. Tomrrow should be Redman if I'm not wrong.
I just hope that the Marlins go into most games with a lead into the 8th and 9th because Rivera is just amazing. :/
