yeah. i noticed that. he wasnt even bunting, more like doing half-swings. he needs to square up earlier and time the location and bunt better.

ummm... dude wasn't trying to bunt. bunting with 2 outs is like a boob without a nipple

Damn that Jeter. He's the only one that has really caught on to Beckett's stuff. Good outing by both Beckett and Mussina even though it still should've been 1-0 Marlins but that freakin ump couldn't make up his mind about what a strike was.

GOOO WILLIS!!!

Ooooohhh Willis Willis Willis! He's a great pitcher when he's on but such a stinker when he's not. There is no middle ground with him. This could definately be the game right here. :(

KEEP HOPE ALIVE!

2-1 Yankees

Matsui with RBI Single to left field.

Jeter shouldn't of made it to third. :/

So hard to watch now. :(

jeter is smart. he knows pierre doesnt have a strong arm. that was a shallow fly by bernie, a center fielder should been able to gun that to 3rd base without a hop from there.

That was all Pierre's fault because instead of throwing as soon as he caught the ball. He caught the ball and looked to see if Jeter was running and then threw the ball. Plus it all goes back to Lee not playing on the line. The smallest things make such a huge difference in the playoffs it's amazing. I guess thats what ya get when the best teams meet up.

I hope Cabrera comes up clutch. Damn you Matsui! :D

It should be interesting how the Marlins do against Rivera considering he hasn't faced any of them except for maybe Pudge and Conine. It's definately not like the Sox that they see him "regularly".

Okay.....maybe not.

To many missed opportunities. :/

Here comes the 9th inning with the Yanks up first and then the Marlins get one last chance.

That was horrible. The Marlins definately need the ghost of Joe Robbie to help em out. I'm sure if he were alive today he would be a great Marlins fan. :D

COME ON MARLINS!!!!!

Fvcking Yankees.

Kills ya, don't it? :D

<-- smug Yankee fan ;)

What kills me is buying championships.

Okay, I'll go through my whole thing again. The Yankees make alot of money because people want to see them, not because of their market (the Mets are in the same market). So the TV contracts make them a fortune because they have a national following. They have such a following because the owner spends alot of money to put a good, winning product on the field. If other owners would spend money, and make good roster moves, and start winning year in and year out then they would be able to compete on a level playing field, because they would develop such a following (by winning). If they don't want to spend the money, then screw them. But don't rag on George for being a good businessman.

Yup it is. Talk about opening the flood gates. I would've given my left kidney to have Hunter in place of Pierre out there for just that one play. Oh well thats how the cookie crumbles. I can only hope that the Marlins are losing on purpose to make a huge comeback like they did against the Cubs. :)

Beckett did such a great job against the Yankees though. Sad that he's gonna get the loss. Onto game 4.

GOOO MARLINS!!!!
