Did they really boo him off the stage? I wasn't watching. Hogan's Heroes was on, and probably 100% more entertaining.

It was mixed the Texans did well drowning them out but there were strong pockets of booing. I wouldn't describe it as Ted being spanked but there was absolutely conflict.
*I just heard on the news Heidi Cruz had to be escorted out because people were rowdy around her shouting Goldman Sachs!*

As of right now Trump does not appear to be in the arena.
Pence is a few minutes into his acceptance speech.

Pence has been speaking for 20 minutes now and the camera has not shown Trump. They have shown his kids and their spouses and an empty chair.
Will an empty chair become this conventions meme too?

Edit 2: Speech has ended, Trump walked out gave a quick man hug, stood side by side with Pence for about 10 seconds, waved to the crowd and walked off.

Haha our party was founded to oppose slavery.....but as I previously said they've been losing black delegates at a rapid rate. We've got 18 black people here to vote **Ted didn't say the stuff after the .....**

Haha crowd started shouting over him but his fans seemed to quiet them down

No mention to Trump except for the wall. The crowd booed him off the stage.

18?? They had that many? Guess the outreach after the GOP autopsy is a glowing success.

Don't worry more brown skinned people will show up at the arena once the convention is over.

I heard Michael Steele say in a moment of honesty this morning say when he became chairman his first thing he told everyone was don't expect black people to come over because of me its the local guys that need to visit black neighborhoods, churches and Political organizations. That's only way it can work.

* I think last cycle they had 26 black delegates

I thought they had an emergency deep tanning program running at some of the hotels?

Yeah but when you message is f-you, you criminal leach or trust us the prosperity will trickle down any day now. That doesn't play well in those communities.

Republicans:
1. Obama and Clinton are radically transforming America to render it unrecognizable
2. Clinton is Secretary of the Status Quo

I just thought it was an interesting point he made. He didn't say whether anyone took his advice or not but it sounds like a reasonable plan Steele had.

Haha I just heard that Manafort reviewed Cruz's speech and said everyone in the party should be happy. Cruz also went at least 12 minutes longer than he was expected to go. News people are questioning why Cruz was allowed to speak before Pence and ruining Pence's introduction again.

Nobody seems to want to talk about the speeches given by the non-white employees, women and other associates who have been with Trump for years. The left doesn't want to see the excellent testimony that Trump is not a woman hater, bigot, racist and all the other things the mean stream media, Hillary shills, have been saying. For awhile I wasn't sure. Now I know, the media has been selling a bullshit narrative that I refuse to buy. I've been friends with a couple Hispanic ladies on social media for a couple years, who are employees of his, as well as one of his ex girlfriends. They've never had a bad thing to say about him. Him wanting to secure the border and suspend immigration from terrorist hot spots, have been blown way out of proportion, to include the media convincing the sheep that he hates all Mexicans and all Muslims. That's just not true!

That would be you and the other libs, who have bought the bullshit fed to you by the biased, dishonest media. They've programmed you well. I bet you didn't watch any of the speakers and know nothing about the diversity in the room. The whole, unedited, real time C-Span broadcast, not the clipped off stuff on the mainstream media. Be honest!

Pretty funny, when I look back through the years and see interviews on various programs, including Oprah, that people weren't running around calling him a racist back then. Only when he decided to run against Hillary, did this manufactured stuff come to center stage.
I'm so grateful that I am a person capable of reasoning, that I don't allow myself to believe what the media tells me and then run around calling everything I don't agree with racist, bigoted, misogynist and all the other liberal buzz words that are used.

Our nation doesn't have time for this petty shit. I don't love Trump, but I can't stand Hillary. I hope he clubs her like a baby seal, in November, but I'm not betting either way right now.

Thats true. Now remember, the media is not supposed to be biased. Yet you get headlines from MSN, etc, saying things like Cruz was "booed off the stage" when really any reasonable human can see no such thing happened. I posted the MSN link and you can hear a balance of 50/50, yet the media only wanted to trumpet the negative side to not only get clicks and views but to also cast events in that same negative light. A lot of what you mentioned falls into this same category. Too many people trying to make a living in click bait media.

Now I dont think there should have been any boos at all, but like I said things arent normal these days.

Trump is also prone to shooting from the hip and thankfully has toned that down some. Hopefully he maintains this course until the election because the last thing the competitive click bait media needs is more red meat.

I want to see source video and make up my own mind.

After Ted speaking, Abe Lincoln is probably turning in his grave.
Comparing Lincoln of back then to anything republican today is a direct insult to the party of Abe Lincoln and what Abe stood for.
Abe freed the slaves and died doing so not to have republicans some 150 years later enact voting restrictions against minorities.
What the hell was coming out of Ted's mouth?
And no doubt the Lincoln of today would have been on the side of marriage equality nation wide.
What the hell was coming out of Ted's mouth?
And Ted's twisted interpretation of the US Constitution would give the founding fathers reason to boo Ted off stage too.
What the hell was coming out of Ted's mouth?
This guy Cruz really knows how take the facts then bend and twist them into something totally not as they were intended.
Only some foreigner from another country could be so wrong when it comes to American history and intent of the founding fathers. Not to mention old Abe Lincoln's achievements.
What the hell was coming out of Ted's mouth?

The spectrum of racism is pretty big from insensitive to Paula Dean to the klan. Notice the Deans employ black people, and the statements she got heat for directly involve employing black children.

Now it's certainly possible Trump isn't as racist as he often appears, but there's no doubt those statements appeal to racists like David Dukes of the world and sometimes panders to racists like the Deans.

Of course to be entirely fair the left does tend to be too dismissive of racists who are commonly unaware of their bigotry, and are otherwise decent people. A classic case of imposing systemic issues on often oblivious individuals. Paula probably fits in that category.

The reason Manafort approved of the speech and Ted went over on his time is because the speech Ted read wasn't the one he showed Manafort.
RNC sources: @tedcruz "speech different than version he gave RNC in advance." Officials + Cruz had to be physically separated after. #GOP

That's some funny shit and I'm not surprised. The internet doesn't forget. Good luck in the future, Cruz!
