Playing Saturday and then not playing until Thursday three weeks in a row makes for some pretty poor play that first period of every Thursday game. Although I thought the poor play in the first period in Calgary was the ice in the offensive zone. That puck looked like a rubber ball bouncing around. The same thing happened to Calgary in the second period.

Hudler has regressed from playing in KHL. At one time I would have him and Filppula on the same level. Now I think Filppula was the best player on the team in the pre-season and is still hitting his stride during the regular season, but hasn't been paired well on his line. I'd give Hudler a good half season to come around.

I can't wait for the team to start really getting in sync and the addition of Rafalski in a week will be just that much more sugar.

Hurricanes sucked in florida last night...paul maurice wouldnt pull cam ward if his life depended on it. 6 goals...6 damn goals and he never so much as *thought* about pulling that jackass

Going to the canes/florida game tonight @ the rbc, hopefully they wont suck as bad.
 
Hopefully Luongo does not play as good as Kipper and Wall did against the Wings these past two games. If he does and the Wings cannot get more then 2 goals we might just lose.

holy hell... that was the worst penalty call ever.

5 coyotes in the blue. 0 penguins... but somehow its goaltender intereference?

too bad crosby cant drop the gloves against the REF's...
 
Good lord, this game is crazy. 6-4 now and it does not really feel safe. Wings look exhausted though, so fingers crossed.

Meh, it's over. Way too many turnovers and mistakes in their own zone. Franzen looks terrible for some reason.

Jimmy has been fine except for the wrister that got by (5th I think?). Just one of those nights. Happens when one team is coming off a game last night.

Yeah. I've only been able to watch 4 or 5 games so far this season, but he's looked good so far. I worry about our D though.

The hurricanes won! It was a meh first period, a decent second period, and a semi-meh 3rd period--but ill take it. Considering that they are 7 or 8 million under the cap with a lot of junior guys, i really wont be upset if they can keep going at .500 for the season

Scored tix to The Big Chill at The Big House outdoor hockey game December 11th... Michigan / Michigan State... should be EPIC! wondering if i can sneak over a batch of chili across the border for the tailgate.....

they won the other day so I pretty much expected them to lose this one.

next is philly, montreal, ottawa, and pittsburgh...im anticipating a losing streak in the near future.

wow. im loving this. the devils are about worthless this season 😀

but that was worse than eric staal....and i didnt think anyone was worse in a shootout or a breakaway than eric staal.

last season he crashed the goalie during a shootout, hes *horrible*

bright side: jussi jokinen is usually good in a shootout, and the rookie, jeff skinner had a decent shootout already:
