Had it not been for Howard tonight, the score could easily be 4-2 Phoenix. Stupid, dumb, idiotic penalties by the Wings in the first period. Great second period. Hope the trend that the Wings had this year stays into the post season. Wings have played some of their best hockey in the last 20 minutes of a game all season long. And the Joe jumpin'! Been a loooong time since I've seen them like this.

meh, It wouldn't be a playoff game unless the Wings had to fight off a 5 on 3

And it's the 20th straight year the Joe gets to see a post season, It's almost like the regular season is just pre-season, and playoffs are regular in Detroit.
 
Ovechkin with the equalizer past Lundqvist, 1-1, this baby's headed to OT. Caps with 29 blocked shots to NY's 21, both teams with punishing defense. For the 29th time in a row, a Washington game will be decided by 1 goal.
 
Besides the dumb penalties that was a good game. Strong play by Howard tonight saving the Wings bacon a few times. Impressed with the hustle of Hudler and Flip, now just time for Flip to start producing.

Yeah, you're right... I meant losses. In the past 20 games they've only lost by 1 goal 3X and only once by more than 1 goal (4 times total). After tonight, 17 for 21. Alzner and Carlson are just playing championship defense and Mike Green was pretty good as well in his return.
 
So on the CBC yesterday during the Canucks game, they were talking about a deal almost being done which would move the Coyotes back to Winnipeg after the playoffs...

Well it's the same club and they probably have the naming right so the Jets still, so I'd imagine they'd become the Jets again.

I'm a Canucks fan through and through, but I'd probably at least buy a Jets t-shirt if they moved back there.

Take the Nordiques back to Quebec and all would be perfect in the world, the sun would shine brighter, the water would taste a little sweeter, and peace would reign throughout the land.

Tod Bertuzzi is awesome. And the team he plays for is awesome too.

His name should be chanted in EVERY hockey arena.

He is such a great guy, I wish every hockey player were half as awesome as Tod Bertuzzi.

Even his name is awesome, it just rolls off the toungue.

Tahhhhhhhd Berrrtuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuzzzzzi.
