Can't get a single Canucks Ticket for that Price. A recent News Report showed that for a British Columbian living outside Vancouver(requiring Airfare/Accommodation), it was cheaper for them to buy an Overnight Package to California to watch the Canucks than it was to do the same in Vancouver. :colbert:

ouch... that sucks... Wings games are the best sports bargains around... if you don't mind crossing over to the D, and i never have. i love it 🙂 GO OILERS!!

last years opener at home against the flyers had a *lot* of philly fans that drove to raleigh to see the game for the same reason.

thats the nice thing about being a hurricanes fan: no demand, so the games are cheap. 14 games this year? under $200

Season ticket holder discount? cheap seats for $15 a piece, college night 2nd level tickets: $35

the only thing expensive this season is the all star games (starting at like $170 or so a seat)

Leafs trying to make it a 3rd straight game without scoring a goal and doing a damn good job at it.

EDIT: Holy crap they scored 😱

Nice prices. 😱

Nice prices. 😱

yeah, i figure...even if the canes suck, at least i get to watch 1 good team each night

/pittsburgh raped them the other night
//half the fans there had blue jerseys

im not going to the all star games, too much money...but im going to the skills comp. that should be fun

I may have said the same thing last season, but so far not this season. 😛

he is working out nice for them! I remember watching him play for Brampton vs. Windsor... lol actually I have a few of his Upper Deck hockey cards... one of them with a patch of those god-awful puke-green jerseys Brampton wears. hehe

canes beat the islanders 7 - 2 because cam ward couldnt hold a shutout for his life

in addition, this means they used all of their goals for 5 periods, so i can expect a scoreless suckfest when i go to the game saturday

i saw highlights. it was a regular scrap.

he could probably kick our asses IRL, for what it's worth.

probably...

you guys see dipietro drop the gloves last week? i would have paid good money to see a goalie clock someone, and im not that huge a proponent of fighting.

/gleason, where you at this year?

i didn't see that, but i assume it was after the Briere crosscheck?

i met Gleason once at a party. He was a pretty quiet guy and was wearing a Star Wars t-shirt. LOL

check out this article... pretty cool story about a career-minor leaguer.

http://www.tsn.ca/blogs/bob_mckenzie/?id=339752

yeah it sure was, it was hilarious...because pronger went to hold him back, and pronger is about 19 feet taller than dipietro.

ill finish it later, but thats a pretty neat article. as ive gotten into hockey more lately and paid attention to how few people really get called up (especially to stay in the nhl) I realized there has to be at least a few guys here and there who play the minors for a number of years, or maybe more.

pretty interesting.

i've yet to meet any players or get any autographs. i rode with some friends to a game last year because my bro was gonna get there just in time for the 1st period and i wanted to tailgate.

i had to leave with him...and he wanted to leave ASAP.

everyone else stayed...and got to meet a few of the players and get some autographs! gah!

i've met a ton of former Spitfires... obviously just living in the area, you get to know some of them... i have a really good buddy who played for them back in the day and know a couple other guys that captained the Spits too 🙂 plus i have a lot of friends of friends who are former Spits 🙂

i'd probably like to meet Ryan Smyth the most though... definitely my favourite player of all time.

Why are the Wings so good.
The wings haven't even gotten off the ground yet with their light October schedule. Playing Saturday and then not playing until Thursday three weeks in a row makes for some pretty poor play that first period of every Thursday game. Although I thought the poor play in the first period in Calgary was the ice in the offensive zone. That puck looked like a rubber ball bouncing around. The same thing happened to Calgary in the second period.

Hudler has regressed from playing in KHL. At one time I would have him and Filppula on the same level. Now I think Filppula was the best player on the team in the pre-season and is still hitting his stride during the regular season, but hasn't been paired well on his line. I'd give Hudler a good half season to come around.

I can't wait for the team to start really getting in sync and the addition of Rafalski in a week will be just that much more sugar.

Flyers looked good again tonight. Zherdev had another good game after starting slow. Bobrovsky is a keeper at this point. Definitely showing off the deepest defense in the league.
