Novaking?

Chiefs defense is playing pretty good right now all things considered, if only the offense could at least put a drive together to give the defense a rest.

Kind of funny to see Tebow get all of the credit for these wins in the headlines while the Bronc's defense get none.

Let's face it, if Denver had to rely on Tebow's passing ability they'd be in a good bit of trouble. Because the defense is keeping the scores low (other than the Oakland game), they don't have to.

Well, by the 3rd win you know Tebow's unstoppable. But he's now 5-1 as starter. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say he's gonna win a ring before lebron. Tebow is the true chosen one, not that pussy who ran off to be somebody's bitch in Miami.

More that he has provided a spark of life to a team that was rolling downhill toward Miami

Other than the Jets, who were under .500 at the time Denver played them, the Broncos still haven't beat a team with a winning record. If Denver can knock off the Pats or the Bears in the next two weeks I'll start having a little more respect in the situation. Denver's D is playing exceptionally well right now. That's the understated part of that team lost in the Tebow hysteria.

EDIT: I forgot they did beat Oakland. That was still a team without their leading rusher and a QB that had his first start in almost a year.

I'm not a "Tebow hater," I just don't understand why he's getting credit for the Broncos' defense.

Tebow is inspiring the entire team as well as taking media pressure off them. Miller is a rookie, after all, and the kind of attention he'd normally be getting is often stressful for a youngster. When people make big plays, they're crediting the team...it's hard to get too big a head with Tebow around.

Tebow also doesn't deflate the team with stupid turnovers...coupled with his big play ability, he makes them feel like every yard they gain or save is worth the effort, since it actually brings them closer to a win (don't underestimate how powerful that is). Not throwing interceptions >>>>>>>>> good completion percentage but with turnovers. He shouldn't get anywhere near all the credit, but (as should not be surprising for a QB) he's a significant part of why this team is playing to its potential, playing as a team. It sure wasn't happening without him.

To the Broncos, Tebow is a leader, a catalyst, a rock to rally around, a Midas. They know that they are MUCH better with him than they were without him. Winning ugly >>>>>>>> losing pretty. Of course they need to be able to beat strong teams in order to be considered one of the best teams, but that's the thing...without Tebow, we wouldn't even be having that conversation. In only six games, Tebow and his effect on others have helped transform the armpit of the NFL into a playoff contender. That's huge.

How long can it last? How far can it go? Who knows. There's never been a Tebow in this NFL. As many others do, I suppose it will come down to injuries and getting whipped by the likes of the Patriots. But even if they lose the rest of their games this season and he's out of the league next year, he has already greatly exceeded expectations and outperformed his (veteran, expensive) alternative at QB. That's a win in my book.
