I put money on the Packers to cover (-4) and the Jets money line (+290). Packers just look way too strong and Rodgers is the man (so is Matthews), so I really feel they will win by a TD or more.

Steelers did not look all that impressive to me and while there is a chance of a letdown for the Jets after the big Pats defeat, they did so well for me last week, I just have to ride them even though I hate them with a passion and I think Sanchez stinks.

Going to be fun regardless.

If the Jets win over Pittsburgh, do you think they have the mental toughness to win the Super Bowl? I have a feeling that they poured all their emotion into beating New England. I don't really see the Jets beating the Steelers, but IF they do, do you think that they could beat any team out of the NFC?

I think they could beat the bears. Not sure about the Packers.

It depends...how does the opposing offense adjust to a Jets D? The steelers passing game can fare well because it's alot of just waiting for plays to happen. Jets D shuts down routes well, but the Steelers passing game is not really about running routes, it just about finding a way to get open.

Jets D only gave up 3 points to the pack while they didn't show up against the bears, but at the same time they plopped down 34 against them (only game they lost while scoring an offensive touchdown)

Normally, I don't think the Jets can beat the Pack though anything can happen on any given Sunday. I'd consider their defenses roughly equal but the GB offense >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jets offense.

Matchup wise, I think Chicago has a better chance at beating NY, GB has a better chance at beating Pitt.

NY has the personnel to match up well with any of the remaining teams. The only question mark will be Sanchez's execution. If Jets D handle Big Ben this week then I think they can be up to the task to handle Rodgers. They did limit him to only 3 FGs when they met in the reg season. The Jets Bears game was an aberration because it was a rare high scoring game between two defensive teams.

That said, I think Green Bay has the momentum and skill players to go all the way. Rodgers is crazy good. It's amazing how well they lasted so long with all the players they lost to injury.

I think this one of the best championships weekends in a while and could be a great SB.

I can't honestly say with any confidence who is going to win what game.

the jets *look* the weakest(sanchez's new penchance for throwing high could equal SERIOUS troubles against any of the others 3's great secondary's) but they have played with all these teams already and held in there.

Wow, just looked at the stats for the upcoming AFC Championship game.
The Steelers allowed the most rushing yards to the Jets this year. Keep the ball out of Ben's hands and keep it out of Sanchez's hands apparently is how the Jets may attack the Steelers.

A Packer fan, a Viking fan, and a Bear fan are all climbing a mountain and arguing about who loves their team more. The Viking fan insists he is the most loyal. "This is for the Vikings!" he yells and jumps off the side of the mountain. Not to be outdone, the Packer fan is next to profess his love for his team. He yells "This is for the Packers!" and pushes the Bear fan off the mountain.

ESPN is showing Green Bay as a 3.5 point favorite. Did the line switch? A 6 seed favored over a 2?

I think GB's been the favorite since the matchup was set haven't they?
Nevermind the seeds, the Packers are the hotter team right now.

I agree. I think they'll win it all.

If the Jets manage to win they will have knocked off the top 3 premier AFC teams of the last decade (all at their field) and certainly nobody can make the case they didn't belong in the superbowl if that happens.

I'm not saying they are going to win it all... sadly I have no such confidence. I don't want to jinx them either. All I know is that no matter how good or bad a team is, no matter how hot or cold they are playing, there is a reason why each and every game is played out.

Anyone can win at any time.

ugh... I'm dying for Sunday.

Edit: I agree with your Jets statement too. Playoffs in any sport is about peaking at the right time. Jets are showing that they are certainly peaking... but we'll see if they have enough to topple the Steelers. Both games should be awesome. I don't predict a blowout in either one (However, please note my above statement)
