Lets get one thing straight about the Packers - Bears rivalry that the National Media simply doesn't.

I'm a life long Packers fan. Born and raised. Same with my family, and nearly every other family I know in WI. The "rivalry" between the Bears and Packers is not really one born of "hatred"... it's born of a odd, mutual respect. Its not dislike or disdain between the teams of these cities (we save that for Cubs and the Brewers). There's a strong sense of respect between the teams and the fans I think. Sure I hate those FIBs, but I respect their team a ton. Bears are old-school outdoor football as are the Packers. Founders of the league and the sport. Think of it like wanting you beat you big brother at any chance you can get.

You want to talk hate? Packers and their fans HATE the Vikings. Fuck them. There's no mutual respect there at all. Viking suck (this is pre-Favre BS too)

Omg...I think...I might...cry :'(
Well put sir...born and raised in the Bay of Green (read: brown), I hear you about the relationship/rivalry...and it's the oldest rivalry in the league and the sport. Started in 1921 when Curly Lambeau played (and coached) for a number of years. He got Indian Packing Company to fund and support the Team in 1919 or 1920, the deal being they had to name the team after the plant.

I don't think Chicago was called the Bears at that time...I couldn't believe how many football teams and leagues there were before the inception of the NFL.

I'd like to see a source for that rating. There is no way Sanchez has a 134 career playoff QB rating. According to this, his career playoff QB rating is 92.2. Still a very good rating, but a 134 rating is in the stratosphere.

fixed

his regular season rating is just 70.2 which brings his career total down to something like 72.9

...do any of you haters in atotland plan on admitting that roethlisberger is one of the greatest qb's ever and most likely the best ever?

Whoops. I was watching sportscenter or something like that and that's what they said which is why I was so shocked as you're right, that's out of this world.

Yeah, his astronomical 22 QB rating in Super Bowl 40 convinced me.🙄

yeah but did this play convince you?

I'll say he's a good one and surely the best at shrugging off would-be sacks and then making a good throw, that just breaks the back of an opposing "D", thinking they've got him and the end result is a big play downfield. Ben can look so-so for most of the game but the quality Pitt D keeps it close then he makes one or 2 huge plays that can win a game..

I don't get excited much...but I am excited today.

Both of these should be awesome games.

Packers and Steelers in the big one will be even better.

Oh fuck...that'll drive me mad. (in a good sort of way 😛 ) Two of my favorite teams battling it out...I can hardly wait!!

BOTH of today's games should be good. I don't expect to see any "easy" wins in either game.

I would have loved it if the Eagles Steelers in the big one. I would have been going NUTS for that game. I'm all about redemption and Ben and Mike both seriously turned their lives around big time. It would have been perfect for me.
