If you ask for a PRICE MATCH, you just get an adjustment to your orignal receipt. Not sure if it can be used for rebates. But ot be safe, just ask them to Return and Rebuy the item. That way the return is one transaction and the purchase is a totally new transaction.
 
Once again, obviously people have tried this before your time and some stores like compusa will tell you to gtho or not give you a new receipt (thus your rebates will not go through).
 
Are there any stores where you can shop their black friday sales online? There are potentially too many stores that we will need to hit and not enough people to do it. Our strategy is for one of us to hit the pavement and the other to go online...if that's possible.....please let me know.

I tried that last year, but I had to use the bathroom so I got caught.

This year I'm going to hide out in the mall as a fountain statue so I don't get caught again.

as far as price matches go, has anyone ever had a problem with doing this @ BB? i would like to get that apex "27 TV for under 100, but i'm going to be out of town on friday so i was going ot pick it up on wednesday and bring it back on friday

also, i cant find that model tv on their website right now - is that a good indicatation that its old and they wont put it on the shelves until friday?? any suggestions? i wont be in the store until probably late afternoon :disgust:
 
OK, one more useful thing for ANY Black Friday thread and web site: Store Opening Times for Black Friday!!!

Also, if BF deals will be available on the web @ Midnight, as in the last few years (Why fight the crowds when you can get it all done in your underwear?) - IIRC, Best Buy's BF deals are available on the Web.

If I can coordinate with my Wife to be at certain locales at certain times, we can maximize the Black Friday grabfests....

will the return rebuy work if I buy an item from BB in one city on Wens and rebuy it in another city on friday?

and how do online BF deals work, do i just purchase online and come into the store to pick up?
please some shed some light on this.

i am pretty sure that we'll be able to do that - i just called one near me and asked the CS girl, and she said yes, but she wasn't very convincing and i dont know how much faith i'd put behind her word... but at any rate she said yes.. i'm looking at doing the same thing in two different cities, but im still not sure abuot it beacuse i dont think thte TV i want to buy is in stock right now =[ anyone know anythign about that?

I believe he runs the bf2004.net website. They gave me more of a reason to not shop there on BF.

keep in mind, it wont be the apex tv, but a 27" flat screen sansui tv. it retails for about $230, so im not sure what the BF price will be. anywhere around $100 is a steal.
 
thanks for the info - not too worried what brand it is, as long as its 27" and its decent quality i'll be happy =] how can you be sure about that anyway? on the bf.net site it says apex, but on AT's BB thread they don't have any 27" tv's??
 
hey anyone know if the "Cobra 10 band radar/laser detector - $48.86" at Meijer is a good deal? I need to get a radar detector but I'm not sure which brand to buy.

the Valintine 1 the best that I know of, but it cost $400 never seen a deal for though
