Buy the Z-5500's on BF. You're probably not gonna find em for that price after the holidays. I'd jump on em too except I'm gonna have my money going towards the HD and DVD burner deals in OMAX. I can never have enough storage. heh heh. 🙂

I'm always amazed when I hear about peopel shopping at Home Depot. We have Menards (WI) and literally every item in the store that both carry, Menards is ALWAYS cheaper. Every single time. We've gotten rumors that we might actually get a Lowes sometime soon which rock as well. Home Depot has the worst customer service I've ever seen. Can never find anyoen to help you and when they do they are dumb as tacks.

Damn. Looks like OfficeMax will be my first stop on black friday. The HD and DVD Burner deals are incredible. BB, Staples and Compusa don't have much. I'm still holding out for Circuit City tho. When will the ad be out?!?

Do you guys think OM will be as wild and crowded and lined-up four hours before opening as Best Buy?

Cool, thanks for the info  btw, when do you think NewEgg would have their sale prices posted? Fri Nov 26 @ 12:01am? I wanna be one of the first ones to jump on the deals before everything becomes out of stock 🙂

If anything I believe OM will be more crowded than BB. A lot of people who stand in line first are generally people who browse hot deals forums and they know exactly what they want. OM has a couple of sweet deals whereas I don't see anything particularly outstanding at BB (except for the emachine pc's and a couple of other peripherals). Also, keep in mind that OM opens an hour after BB (@7am at least here in Bridgewater, NJ), so you'll def. see a bunch of people hit up BB and then high tail it to OM. I plan on getting there at 4am latest.

Well, that's what I tried asking earlier with no response.

Does Newegg even HAVE Black Friday deals?

I mean, if so, yeah, I'm eyeing those Z-5500s, myself. Need the optical input because I *like* my SoundStorm solution, but starting to get weary of these GMX speakers. (And if they do put their prices up at 12:01am local time.....that's 12:01am *my* time - all you east coast suckers gotta stay up till 3:01am. BWAHAHAHA...errr....yeah.)

I dont see why you people get so worked up about the deals at best buy and other retailers...The TVs, cameras, and toshiba laptop are all discontinued items that have been horded by retilers, such as best buy to get people in to the store..the camera and laptop havent even been sold there for months, Toshiba doesnt even list that laptop on their website anymore...m35x-s109, check for yourself...Really look and see if you are getting a good "deal" before you waste 4 hrs of your life in line.

Guys,

Just curious:
How special is BF sale on amazon? I did not see any threads about that 🙁

And thanks for heads-up about other stores!

Fry's has Samsung 712N (12ms!!!) for a 379-50 rebate and it's not in the ad.I bought it yestrday.Total with Tax and 3 years replacment plan is 401(AFTER REBATE). BF CompUsa and BB after rebates and with 2year replacment plan is 376$. Rabates 50 from Samsung and 120$ from
CU or BB.Tne second one hard to get.)

Ohmigod! Your assessment is DEAD ON! I hate Home Depot, they can't even take my money properly. I think Menards is the store that I am most dedicated to as a customer. The service ALWAYS kicks ass (I've shopped at a bunch of them), the prices are good, and the selection is outstanding.

Lowes is just too glitzy. Lowes is IKEA gone home improvement.

so are you suggesting it is better to get the monitor from fry's then best buy or Comp USA?

I can't advise anything. And if you don't need a "Service Plan" it will be cheaper to get it from CompUsa or BB (about 75$ cheaper). But you have to wait for rebates:50$ from Samsung and 120$ from CU or BB and they are realy slow.

yeah the toshiba is old, we havent sold it in a long time, It pisses me off that I work for a place that scams people with old product...just to get you to buy a overly priced case and service plan for your laptop

Only things I'll be heading out for (and not at 6 AM) is the $10 2.4 Ghz phone w/ answering machine from OD and the FAR 2.4 GHZ phone and jewel cases and other junk from OM. But gotta wait for the actual ads since the pictures can make me remember something I need. 🙂

How old? It seems maybe less than a year, plus I think (could be wrong) it has much better specs abd expandabilty than all the low-priced HP's & Compaq's that will be going on sale? What's your opinion?

I have seen references to buying an item early so you don't have to show up at 6am on Friday. You then return it during the day on Friday and return/rebuy at the lower price. When you do this, will you simply be getting a credit to your original method of payment or will you be given an new receipt indicating that you bought it on Friday? I ask this since some of the rebates I might try to use will only be good for Friday purchases.
