Sometimes I play on servers that focus on Jet maps, just so I can practice my jet and chopper-killing Tank shots.

It's always fun knocking little birdies out of the sky with a tank. :D

I've done the same thing with tanks in Planetside 2, but they don't have choppers, and it always takes a very unaware pilot (in both games) for jet or jet-like flyers to succumb to tank rounds.

That's what you got the end of some CS matches. Bomb planted, 3 Ts still alive while your team is dead. Take out the the team and start disarming the bomb... BOOM! Why didn't you buy the bomb kit? why? it could have been epic.

LOL that reminds me of BF Vietnam, the original one. There'd be one guy left and everybody watching POV, but after a few minutes everyone is bored and starts doing stuff like typing his coordinates into chat for the opposing team to find. Most people dont play to watch someone else play.

I feel vehicle balance in BF3 is at an all-time low. You shoot someone with the tank at their feet and unless it's "hardcore" mode they just get blurred vision. I remember watching people chain repair helicopters and never die, etc. A good person in jets is basically immune to AA. That stuff is fine in moderation but frankly it's too easy in BF3. Another thing that annoyed me was them trying to turn the game into COD. Visually its not even a half step from COD, and gameplay wise there isn't much recoil when I played heavily a year ago. The BF3 premium stuff was about the time I gave up on the franchise (I have 4 copies of 1942, 3 of vietnam, etc).

One thing they did improve on in BF3 was medics. BF2 was a joke in that the best kit was hands down the medic kit, and oh hey it also can keep your whole squad/team alive. At least now medic isn't "THE BEST EVER" class. I just wish it hadn't of gone with the COD graphics/color scheme and annoying stuff like lens flare.

Are you trolling by saying that Battlefield 3's graphics are only slightly above CoD or just blind? Also, the Medic in Battlefield 3 is widely considered the best class in the game since it has the most powerful guns in the game along with the ability to heal/revive.

Giving up on an entire franchise because they offered a discounted price for their expansions? Really? No one is going to think you're cool for saying shit like this. It's just a little pathetic really.

COD doesn't have graphics. Instead, it features blocky representations of what graphics are supposed to be.
If BF4 improves on the graphics of BF3 in any way, I will be pants shat.

What res is that 27"? I have zero problems running max @ 1080. I turn down msaa to 2X only because I personally can't tell the difference between that and 4X in multiplayer.

I dont run AF at all, maybe 4x AA(or the other way around)

I have the texture related to view distance at max and everything else at medium, and my PPI makes it look pretty sharp

I still want to do xfire again....because I run 40-80, averaging around 55 on bigger maps

Hi Zargon!

Looks like we have similar setups and run at the same rez. Take a look at the link below, I recorded some benchmarks that I recorded recently at 1440p. I agree that you don't really need AA in this game, especially in multiplayer. I took some screenshots to compare AA to no AA.

Holy crap why does everyone (BF fans) get butthurt when someone says BF3 graphics aren't that great. They aren't.

Take away the guise of blue tint/super lens flare and it is COD with better models. It isn't PC centric anymore and is totally catered to the Console/Instant gratification crowd. Hey, here's a badge for spawning! Good job! We're going to make up military ranks with stars...you're now a....private first class 2 gold stars! Congrats!

Medic In BC2 was retarded. What Corpsman would run around with an MG when he needs to heal people? an MGer's main focus should be ammo and suppressing the enemy...nothing more.

I'm no fan of BF3, in fact I've had the game uninstalled for about a year now. I couldn't get into the "realism" of hyper bullet drop and planes/helicopters that fly better with keyboards than HOTAS joysticks. I've loved DICE since BF1942...hated BF:V, LOOOVED BF2 (1k hours, Clan leader, Admin of Full Contact War). This new DICE can suck a dick.

I need to reinstall BF2: PR and also stick with RO2...but I digress :cool:

while you have a good point about instant gratification and the blue tint, the grpaahics are still eons ahead of COD. Sorry. In that regard you are just plain wrong, or you game a) at a really shitty res b) or run low settings

The whole blue tint argument comes down to personal preference. I like it because it gives the game a cinematic feel. And BF3's graphics, hands down, one of the best out right now.
