annoy with tank

jihad from behind?

I mostly fly heli with clan mates, so what I've been doing is having my copilot TV him from a safe enough distance, at least to disable. One guided rocket salvo + one tv missile is normally enough to kill, even if he has reactive (top down TV attack is almost always one hit disable).

On Firestorm they like to hide off in the desert next to A and B, and that map offers cover for RU and US with the mountain next to each deployment. Pop up for a barrage, and go back behind cover, repeat.

In jets I just fly up to the ceiling (1000 meters I think?), apply brake, and fire off rockets. They normally die after 2 salvos, but you can usually get in 3 good ones if you start right as you nose down.

Tanks, sneak up close on them, don't stop a distance away to start shooting because they can zoom outta there pretty fast.

Jeep, load up on mines/C4 and pray 😀

Even better when they're being painted for javs/guided.

Another forum gave me heat for the tac light too, i don't use it that much unless I know I'm going to be close quarters action.. its a advantage that everyone has (its a pretty early unlock on every gun) but it can be a disadvantage if you don't take it off etc. I honestly don't die to it much but it can give people a hard time so i'm shotgunning i'll use it on a few maps.

some people were also mad i didn't cut the parts where I died.. i know for a fact most of the clips would of looked weird and people wouldn't have realized i had gotten that many kills if i cut it right before i died though.

thanks for watching!!! appreciate the feeedback

Notice the lens flares from the moonlight at the end of that first video, WTF???

Lens flares are stupid on daytime maps let alone on night maps. I was just outside a few minutes ago and the sun is high, bright, and blazing here today and guess what.......there was not a single lens flare to be seen.

Are we supposed to think soldiers are constantly looking through cameras as they fight on the battlefield?

Possibly they are thinking that all the soldiers are wearing eye protection. But I do agree that it is a bit overdone. A little bit is fine but it goes a bit far in the game.

I agree lens flare in this game is just too much, and the latest gameplay video reminded me of that.

I spent the past week doing a lot of photography, and sure enough, I noticed that there is lens flare in real life, but in the game, it's just distracting. Maybe in the next engine DICE will spend that graphics horsepower differently.

Just for kicks I went outside again with a pair of Dark lens US Army issue SPECS (Special Protective Eyewear Cylindrical System) and a regular pair of clear safety glasses.

With the SPECS there are no lens flares whatsoever, with plain clear glasses I had to work at getting them in a particular position to show a couple here and there. However, if I shaded my eyes at all, such as a hat or helmet would do, there were no flares at all.

Of course, if I looked directly at the sun it blinded the crap outta me and I saw green spots.......please, please, dont tell DICE about the green spots!!!!

All game devs seem to love lens flares and I am used to the fact that they way over done. But on a moonlit map....... C'MON!!!! 🙄 😀

Well... I know for me and my scratched up lab glasses, they do have halos for indoor lighting. 😛

But yea, I wonder if they will have sun spotting in BF4.... 🙂

TBH i wish there were cuncussion gernages in BF3, they woudl be useful, IMO get rid of the damn tac light and 12x scopes on LMGs and gime me more nades

I loved running around stunning/knifing noobs in CoD4.

The 3X stun/flash/frag could get beyond annoying real quick in the really tight maps like shipment and killhouse. LOL

Ziplines? Gas masks? Grappling hooks?

I never played BF2 but those things sound awesome. I love accessories/gadgets like that, would've been fun in BF3.

On a side note, BF3 is still fun for me, but my random thoughts:

1) The assignments are annoying. 100 kills with the L96? I already have about 400 and you want me to get 100 more just to get some camo?
2) Still can't hear people come up behind you. It's like they deliberately muted footsteps from behind so people can get the stealth kills. Annoying for those of us with good soundcards and headphones. BC2 never a problem and could spin before getting knifed, not anymore. 🙁
3) CQ is garbage
4) End Game brings 4 more city maps. Guess we don't have enough.
5) Aftermath looks kick ass! Love the snow, dusk, wooded maps, etc.

Overall it's a hell of a game that I'm still enjoying.

The footsteps for me are so ANNOYING.

I'm using a $300 external DAC, a $100 headphone amp, and AKG Q701's and I still can't hear footsteps from behind.

In a game like cod I can shoot people through walls based on sound alone, but in bf3 I can't even hear someone running right behind me.
