yeah you can barely strafe or dogfight without getting STUCK in the ceiling and floating into the ground for a crash
That was how I got most of my Jet kills - when other people I'm dog fighting with get stuck and floating...😛

For you nvidia users what driver are you guys using for BF3?
I got yet another hard lock and crash and before i lose it i would love to know what driver you guys are reporting the best of luck with.
I am using 290.36 last driver i used prior was 285.79 with a gt454 i experienced zero hard locks would 285.79 be my best bet?
Nvidia has a 290.36 driver out?! 😵
I'm still using 285.79 and I haven't experienced the hard lock and crash - I do experience server crashes but that is the server and has nothing to do with my PC Graphics Card...
From what you are saying I guess I'm sticking with it... unless they have a new WQHL official driver out (not beta)...
Looks like the update is in progress i got kicked from a game it said it was updating and check in soon.
Now reloading the page the page is unavailable...anyone else getting this it just happened to me about 3 mins ago.
Rolled back to 285.62 tonight .
Man i hope your x4 965 is clocked very high i played with my 1100t and setting the cpu affinity to 4 cores at stock clocks i saw a much lower gpu usage as also a much lower minimum framerate on my gtx570
Still have to toy with this oc on this cpu still at stock now and with 6 cores my minimum went into the 30's as at 3.8ghz it would stay in the mid 40s...quite the hurt.
90% downloaded the 4GB patch. I certainly hope they fixed the lock up issue.
Seems that link isn't working anymore.
i just clicked it and watched the vid no problems.
Note the lack of the opposing team uncap in the B2k maps. BF2 style head-on CQ is back. BF noobs will learn the shame and defeat of allowing all their flags to be capped, and hoping the lone guy alive can stealth-cap a flag for the team.

Wow you have a gtx 570 too?!
Everything is stock clocked... I have all settings maxed except for 4xmsaa i turned off and I never drop below mid to low 40s fps on 64player caspian border... I game at 1920x1200...

please explain this more
In BF2 you could only join a squad while alive, and only spawn on the squad leader.
In BF3, 3 people can move to the alive guys squad. 3 more people spawn and hide. Split to 4 different squads, 12 more people spawn....
But this does change everything in regards to the "last man standing"...guess we won't be watching the map from the spawn screen as our sole surviving teammate's icon tries to cap a flag as the ticket count goes down...epic when he did, I tell you.

Starting today, PlayStation 3 players can revisit the legendary maps in the Back to Karkand expansion pack! What better way to celebrate than with a new PlayStation 3 based gameplay trailer?
Battlefield 3: Wake Island Gameplay Trailer
This is it! Back to Karkand is now out on PlayStation 3 in Europe, with North America and Asia to follow shortly. We hope you enjoy our new gameplay trailer entirely based on PlayStation 3 footage.
If you have followed the "Going Back to Karkand" blog series, you know by now that it contains four legendary Battlefield 2 maps reimagined in the Frostbite 2 engine. And you know about the vehicles, and that we have ten classic weapons brought in from Battlefield 2. These are a variety of shotguns, sniper rifles, and machine guns that were particularly popular in Battlefield 2.
What you probably didn't know is that Back to Karkand works seamlessly in conjunction with the base game. This means that you can bring these ten new weapons back to the base game. They essentially get added to your existing arsenal rather than being an either/or choice. Also, servers will have the ability to run map rotations with any mix of base game plus Back to Karkand maps. Further, the new layer of persistence with Assignments does not replace what is in the base game it works in parallel with it. Since you will be able to join mixed map rotations, we will alert you if you dont own Back to Karkand and try to join a server where one or more maps require Back to Karkand.
You will be notified in-game via a pop-up window once Back to Karkand is live, and you can buy it in the in-game store and the PlayStation Store. PlayStation 3 players will be able to start playing today, while PC and Xbox 360 formats will follow on December 13th.
To start playing on the Back to Karkand maps, make sure you For a guide on how to buy, download and get started in Back to Karkand, head to this simple step by step guide.
PLEASE NOTE: At the moment, we are experiencing issues with the server browser. Please use the Quick Match filter settings to pick the Back to Karkand map and mode you want to play. Going through the server browser right now will match you up with base game maps only. We are hard at work isolating and fixing this issue and will have an ETA on this later. Stay tuned for more information. In the meantime, using Quick Match will let you select and play on any map, from the base game or Back to Karkand.
