I posted a link to the Tugboat server in the OP.

I'll post info for other member's servers, as long as they have at least 100 posts.
PM me the following info:

  • A Battlelog link to the server
  • Server Name
  • # of slots
  • Server location
  • One or more AnandTech Server contacts
  • Whatever other details you want to advertise: game modes, special server settings, etc

Tried that repair install, then the release checker came up so I did the proxy again and it said it would be released at midnight for me (EST). Can't play anymore, I did get like an hour and a half in a little bit ago.

I did the repair install and it fucked it up for me... I keep trying to install a but its stuck saying "ready to install"

Same thing happened to me unfortunately... I deleted the game from my Origin Games folder and am reinstalling now...

I believe the install fails because it gets rid of bf3.exe (at least it did for me)

All you should have to do is create a dummy file and call it bf3.exe in your battlefield 3 folder. Restart origin and it should allow you to repair now. It'll fix your exe and everything else.

You shouldn't have to reinstall the whole game. At least I didn't.

arg! the game freezes everytime it attempts to save!! :'( I have to cntrl-alt-del out of the game everytime it tries to save. sigh

Too late as I already emptied trash. Oh well, watching World Series as I redownload.

Huh. The game definitely hangs every time it saves for me but it never froze. It's still a really annoying 2 second pause after every gunfight.

uhg...just went 5-14, and 10 deaths were FF. And does anyone know how to turn off chat? Frickin text covers 1/3 of the screen.

I really wish there was an easy way to start my own empty private server just to get a hang of flying. I jumped into a jet and none of the controls seemed to do what the map said they should.
