tried 5 different servers on caspian, i honestly have never seen lag that bad in my entire life.

Try different RSP servers. Some RSPs are better than others. For example, earlier, the MyIS Caspian servers were terrible, probably because they put too many of the caspian servers on the same box.

I found for me this morning that the Art of War servers to be the worst in terms of lag for both metro and caspian. Try avoiding them.

i hate that bug where prone people look like dead bodies. Also at times it looks like prone people are swimming on land for some reason.

Reporting Cheaters in the BF3 Beta

Hey Everyone,

We've been hearing your concerns about people cheating in the beta..

While the final retail version of Battlefield 3 will feature a number of anti-cheating measures, these features are not in place for the Beta.

To counteract cheating in the meantime we are creating this official thread where you can come an report users you suspect of foul play.

Please DO NOT post anything aside from usernames. We appreciate your feedback, but in order to ensure this thread is as actionable as possible non-name posts will be deleted.

Please DO include a link to their profile.

Please DO use your browser's search function to avoid re-posting. Repeating names will not result in faster banning.

Please note that simply reporting a name does not mean that it will be banned. We have ways of looking into this!

Are most people flying the jeys via keyboard and mouse or some joystick?

It is worth the download trust me.

3 days of Caspian is better then nothing,and has turned my feelings of BF3 upside down this map alone has sold me on the purchase of a gtx580 and the game.

Was a bit anal at first but since it is a beta i will be forgiving on the server lag/bugs/glitchs .

Not gonna let buggy Caspian in beta discourage me but its years better then metro...only a fool would play metro over Caspian as Caspian defines BF3.

Well Metro left a bad taste in my mouth and Caspian coming out was a apology and i accepted

It defines BF jets kick ass tanks conquest...sorry Metro but rush sucked big time i'm about blowing something up...not hunting for campers.

I got onto one around 4pm EST with zero issues. Server browser showed a number with only around 40 players and I jumped onto a NJ server with no issues.

I think a lot of the lag people feel in caspian border is just their hardware getting kicked in the balls. It's a lot more demanding than metro on my PC. Hit detection still seems OK even though I'm getting bad performance.

I kinda really hate disabled vehicles. It seems like you disable them and they refuse to die afterwards. You need like 6 engineers to take out a tank. Also, I really wish the jet's cannon did more damage to vehicles. The chopper controls really weird too. It just doesn't seem to react to how drastically you are trying to tunnel. You can have the thing layed over sideways on your screen and you creep to the side at a snails pace.

An F18 fires 20mm "semi-armor piercing high explosive incendiary" round, which should obviously rape jeeps and LAVs more than it does, but you also have to consider in reality they only carry a few seconds of ammo at continuous fire and typically use burst limiters on the firing. BF3 has unlimited ammo and continuous fire, so...

I would be upset if the SU35 and A10 cannons were worthless though.

I had like a 10 second burst on an AA vehicle and I didn't even disable it. That seemed a little underpowered to me. The AA vehicle also seemed to take more rockets from the chopper before dying too. Maybe the tank I strafed in the chopper had already taken some damage, but it got taken out fairly quick.

Edit: Don't take my gripes about the vehicle physics the wrong way. Caspian Border is amazing. BF3 is great. The draw distance is just unbelievable and there is no texture pop. They have built a truly awesome engine for this game.

Well, a 30mm chopper cannon is a lot stronger, but I'm sure they balanced it additionally so the jet cannons just aren't as good against ground targets as they "should" be. From my experience it took about 3-4 full bursts of the chopper cannon to kill a tank.
