BTW I am not so blind that I think this doesn't happen. I just find it really stupid that someone gets on a forum to admit they are doing something illegal and want to argue that it isn't. It is pretty cut and dry.
I highly doubt what he does is illegal unless he specifically asks to be let off because he is in the military. Cops give or don't give tickets to people basically at their own discretion.
If he knowingly uses his position to get out of a ticket then it is illegal. It doesn't matter that the cop has the discretion. If the only reason he got out of the ticket is because of his government status then he is breaking his code of ethics.
Is it provable?? Hell not because the cop gets to decide who he lets out of a ticket and will stick to his story that it had nothing to do with the military connection.
Just because you can't prove it doesn't mean it didn't happen.
He stated that he has gotten out of tickets because of his military employment. You can't argue with that. He admitted it.
get over it, the guy tried and he failed...just like every one of us would have done.
Heck yeah I will try to get out of every ticket I can but I will never let my government position be used to get out of the ticket. There is a very definite line that you should not cross. Just because it can't be proven doesn't mean you should hop over it.
Man, I guess you are the most honest and moral person out there.
And what job puts you at risk from terrorists? You're not one of the Swedish UN Secret Ops person, are you?
