Monoclonal just means that they are all identical and made from the same cells. If you're administering a biologic, you want them to all be the same. It really has nothing to do with it's potential mechanism of action.I've never understood the "mono" part of the antibody treatments. Seems like they'd want it to be 4 or 5 different antibodies. Attacking just one spot is asking for the virus to mutate.
