Seems silly....

This is a pandemic that VERY FUCKING CLEARLY highlights the differences by location.

The more dense - the more you need to social distance.

The less dense, the more you can relax a bit.

It's incredibly fucking dumb to join hands and make rules based on what a "majority" perceives instead of what the individual places need.

But hey - most of those states are dumb as shit, exceed records with homeless population, and have their working folks leaving in droves.

I get it. I live in a county with no confirmed cases. Hard to imagine a game plan that makes sense here as well as New York or Houston.

I hate being wide awake at 1 AM.
Part of it is worry about my country falling apart.
Part of it is not having a work schedule and my body just wont sleep when I tell it to.

Well, I thought my company was immune to this lock-down induced economic shenanigans since we manufacture machinery/spare parts for food & pharma industry which is in high demand.
BOY, I was wrong!

We have been issued 3 days' work week from now on.

But , I think its a ploy of the owners to shutter the company permanently since he made a lot of money and its now difficult to make as much due to stiff competition!

Fingers crossed!

JetBlue will require all passengers to wear masks starting 5/4.

Eventually I think the majors will have to do likewise.

i know a lot of folks on facebook who are sharing a picture that says: "the masks aren't for your protection, they're a sign of your submission"

even though they are going to be required in a week in ohio, they will just refuse to wear them because it is "tyranny"

i know a lot of conservative folks on facebook and they are saying that being forced to wear masks is a sign of submission, and they will NOT wear them

If that is contrary to airline policy then they are more than welcome not to fly. Should they decide to disobey and defy the instructions of aircrew they can be arrested.

People say lot of shit on Facebook and online. But in real life, they will follow and wear the masks on flight with zero objection like the cucks they are.

If I'm flying, I'm wearing a mask. I don't care what the policy is. But all airlines will adopt this. This will be the new norm until the virus thing is solved.

Correct. I've seen maybe two people willfully disobey ever and I used to fly weekly or several times a week. Once before we left the gate they were "escorted" off by police. The other time we were about to takeoff and they got out of the departure line and returned to the gate to have somebody hauled off.

Passengers are going to comply with policy or else.

Hopefully at least a couple of the drug trials expected to report in May turn up decent news for therapies. Because whoo boy some places are really likely to see a 2nd wave by sometime in June.

I don't really believe the death totals anymore. We're getting to the point where doctors are marking down anything that vaguely looks like a death due to respiratory illness as a COVID-19 death. I don't think that a positive COVID-19 test result is even required anymore, and they're now adding unexplained deaths from February to the death totals.

Inflated death totals help scare people into staying in their homes, though. When you're trying to enforce a quarantine that everyone is getting sick of, I'd imagine that every bit of negative propaganda helps the cause. The era of "Live Free Or Die" is over, the era of "Stay Home Or Die" is here!

Of course, we also know that the infection totals are crap as well, because there still isn't enough testing being done. The real infection numbers are probably 5 times what's reported. That's why they're asking everyone to wear a mask now... you have 1 in 5 odds that you're already infected if you live in the NYC tri-state area, and they don't want you to spread it any more than it already has.

Why? Who did they endanger?
well large gatherings are forbidden, and while they weren't caught outside their cars this TIME, many had been spotted congregating outside previously. Why should they be above the rules that everyone else has to follow?

Yeah, but still, even if it's just a 50% death rate from reported, say 25,000 people, that's still an awful lot of people. But they're also leveraging it for funding support for supplies, personnel, etc., which is understandable.

Side note, saw a dude wearing a Howard the Duck-style mask at the grocery store this morning, I couldn't stop laughing :p
