Tua has been amazing this year. Even though I've been a doubter and didn't really expect much from him (primarily because he is so injury prone), I still drafted him 3rd in Fantasy this year, which really is the major steal of this year for our league, which is essentially a 2-QB league because we have an OP position.
It turns out to be one of my 3-4 unicorn seasons in our 20 year-running league....I tend to just put it all in the draft, hope for the best, and usually have great luck picking up some ignored RBs off FA in the first week or two.
But I haven't had to do that, because, well, here was the draft for me:
1st (7th overall): Mahomes
2nd: Jacobs (always loved this guy. Grab him whenever he is available)
3rd: Tua
lol. Tua was expected to be "oh well, I finally have a 2nd QB that is probably useful?" because I always ignore it and the starters are always gone before I wake up.
10-1.
😀 (lost the only "undefeateds" battle of the year, both at 5-0 then. That guy now has 2 losses, maybe 3 after this week. He has Allen)
For the first time, I can't make decisions with my bench because basically everyone is a bit of a stud this year, and I still have 3-4 open bench spots that I really have no need to fill. We always have IDP slots and never go with the single DEF team slot. All of my IDPs are insane.
Oh the best moment: I drafted Baker Mayfield near the end to sit on the bench, some dude within the first 2 weeks offered to trade Jeff Wilson, backup replacement for SF at the time, and I was like...sure! That guy was competing for Josh Jacobs spot, really. This dude dropped Mayfield after a few weeks....Then when SF gets McCaffery, I got annoyed, considered trading or simply dropping Wilson. Then he goes to Miami and became a super stud. Holy crap: everything has "turned up zin" so far!
I will, of course, lose my first playoff game. It is known.
