pretty surprised that the xbox1 preorders on amazon are sold out but the ps4 ones aren't. yeah i know it was like a 12 hour difference when they were put on there, but still surprising considering the hype/"win" that the ps4 is getting after the e3 conference.

Wow, that throws out the main reason I was considering the X1. Now I'm even more sure about my PS4 pre-order.

yup, i was ready to spend AT LEAST $710 on launch for x1, mad catz te, and killer instinct. then probably like 2 more games, so over $800 was going to ms.

now i'm really not sure what i'm going to do.

been talking with a few people at work today and we are all in agreement that there is just no way that MS can't change their DRM policy at this point if they want to stand a chance.

I can still preorder the X1 on Amazon. You must be looking at the day 1 version.

95% of people who game did not see that. PS4 won the hardcore fans who go onto forums, watch live streams, etc.

If I asked all of my friends, who own xbox 360's but don't watch that kind of shiit or care about it, what console they were purchasing it would still be XboxOne.

Sony won a lot of good press with hardcore gamers who watch things like E3 and keep up with tech specs like DDR5 memory and the fact that the PS4 has 50% more stream processors.

I think Sony has a good start for the next gen, but the real battle isn't now, it's 4 months from now when the launch date is closer.
 
Getting an xboxone. No PS this gen for me, had 360 & PS3 this gen. I don't really buy used games and want an all in one, DVR, gaming, kinect box.
 
PC has always been and will continue to be my primary gaming machine, but the first next gen console I get will likely be the PS4. I will get the Wii-U when enough first party titles are released, and I will consider the Xbone after a significant price drop (say down to ~$250) if there's enough exclusives to make it worth my while. Of course I already own all the current gen consoles and handhelds so I will continue playing them as well as long as there's something to hold my interest on those platforms.
 
I will continue with the PC as my primary gaming system, I do however, have a PS4 on pre-order. My 360 and PS3 will inevitably just end up collecting dust in some corner of the house.

I'm actually curious if Amazon is accepting more pre-orders for the PS4. This would explain why the XboxOne was sold out before the PS4.
 
I'm wondering how big of an effect PC gaming will have on Xbox One. A lot of "exclusives" to Xbox One also are coming to PC. Like TitanFall I REALLY like that game, but why play it on Xbox One, when I have a PC, and $500 spend towards my PC vs a new console will make the game just THAT much more baller.

I really need to see a chart with games expect over the next year and what consoles they will be coming too haha.

Yeah, playing in 2560x1440 with mouse/keyboard AND pad AND wheel depending on game = winning.

Heads must be exploding all over the Microsoft world right now. Literally popping out of their skulls.

The question is : are they so hard-headed that they make zero adjustments in the face of a backlash larger than any in gaming history? They're losing majority support on XBOX FAN SITES. General support seems to be anywhere from 3-1 to 10-1 against Xbone on forum and social media. I can't imagine a company stupid enough not to adjust to at least some degree.

They could partially fix things by :

Drop price to $399
Drop online check
Drop 1st-party title licensing
Drop netflix / F2P paywall

When I pre-ordered mine last night, there was no option between launch or standard. Looking now, it's still not labeled as such in my invoice. I'm assuming I got a "launch edition".

I didn't have the option either, however if I go to the "launch edition" page it says I placed an order for that one and not the standard. 🙂
