Its not a wash because PSN is cheaper than XBL

Yesterday you could buy a year of xbl gold for $35 from new egg eBay store. Deals go up online all the time. If you can wait a day for the card amazon prime members get it for $45 all the time. Psn+ is $50 and not discounted.

The main issues I have with xbl gold is you still get ads in your face and they lock things like Netflix behind it unnecessarily. Last time around it was better overall but I don't think that will be the case this time. I am pretty confident they will be equal, not counting any bonus games and such from memberships.

That really remains to be seen. MS is a software company and they have nailed the social stuff rather well, while Sony is playing catch up on that front. Also, they have said there won't be ads on the main screens anymore on the XB1, but take that with a grain of salt until they actually show that. There will be pros and cons for both systems.

You can get PS+ for $40 here and there, though yes, it isn't as heavily discounted as live.

he's just trolling as usual. he has moved from trolling atot to also trolling the console forum.

actually i have had 4-5 years and I normally get it on EBAY or amazon or such for $35 (or even hear on AT in the for sale section), have paid $32 too.. so I dont think that's impossible. I must say you would need to plan a bit, its not that cheap all the time, you have to be aware and pick um up when they are cheap.. you just add um to the Xbox and they kick in when needed (im 2 years ahead at the moment, so if i get a new XBOX (not going to happen after all the "we are right on DRM, oh you wont buy, then we are wrong" crap) they got a bonus year out of me it seems).

The 360 will easily be around that long.

I've seen 2016 as a number thrown around for pulling 360 from XBL support. Seems reasonable really. Systems in the US die out fairly quickly in terms of AAA support/releases and multiplayer interest after the new gens drop. It's not like you won't still be able to play single-player games on it 🙂

yeah xbls "normal" price to me is $35/yr. i was talking about amdzen trolling as usual.

pointing out that at MSRP one if cheaper than the other is not trolling

the vast majority of people out there are paying that. We here on a tech forum are a minority

calling it a "wash" when they are both regularly $50/yr in stores (don't really care what the msrp is, msrp on a lot of items aren't what they actually sell for) isn't fair either. but it is obvious with his post history he's trying to troll and get people all riled up.

Yeah...both are discounted at times.although if you are subscribing and not using cards the prices are different.
