A lot of the GOP fundraising for the mid terms is being driven by promises of impeachment. The problem though is that they don't have a crime to pin on the President, so they just keep rehashing the same old debunked and irrelevant bullshit to keep the base believing and donating.

Biden seems like an honest guy. If he said some crap about Iran having nuclear weapons, I might actually believe him. Obama comes across as a pathological liar. He's incapable of telling the truth. Obama is probably one of those guys who lies for no reason in everyday conversation. You know what I'm talking about. Everyone has met at least 1 person who lies constantly for no reason. They make up dumb stories about being a black belt in kung fu and they won some cage fighting tournament in Vietnam.

You need to give the president props for thinking ahead. When Nixon was the president, he would disregard the law and do whatever the hell he wanted. Bush and Obama plan ahead. They passed laws saying it's legal to do whatever the hell they want, tap phones, break into your house without a warrant, put GPS tracking on your car, subpoena your phone records without probable cause, etc.

As I recall, the GOP base was super enthusiastic about the Patriot Act when it was passed. And while I would love to see it repealed, I also think it's a little disingenuous of them to be outraged about it now that it's not their guy in the White House.
But then again, I guess that expecting reactionaries to think ahead isn't very rational, is it?

Do you really believe that? Everyone knows this president is not impeachable for too many reasons to list, no matter what he's done. As for no crimes commited....well, the jury is still out. Not saying he has or hasn't.

The issues the GOP are going to slam hard are:

Obamacare
Economy
IRS
NSA
Debt

Those will be the 5 things as we head toward the mid terms, except Benghazi might be in play. Immigration reform will not be resolved this year and probably not during the remainder of his presidency, so that one will not be an issue. GOP will regain the Senate and retain the House.
 
The birthers will never stop until this guy is six feet under the cold cold ground.

Nixon was a full fledged birth certified American citizen, and Obama could never compete with that schmuck even if Obama would actually serve his six terms that all the birthers believe is the secret Obama plan.
It would be well worth the six terms just to watch their faces.

Layers and layers of corruption upon more corruption within government.
Hell... some governor or president lying on camera to the people is just a minuscule fraction of the corruption.
Telling the lie is nothing. That is hard coded into their DNA.

So any birth certificate issue means nothing compared to the corruption behind what put any president into that office in the first place.

Take Chris Christie. No, please don't take Chris Christie.
One day we will all look back on faking birth certificates as those good ole care free fun days.

But, looking at the rest of the stories, it's trageted towards a certain group; idiots looking to find something to get crazy about, with the President.

I don't like Obama, but, I don't hate the man. As stupid and sensationalist as this "news" is, it nonetheless panders to people who just hate Obama and want all sorts of bad things to happen to him.

If everyone knows the President is not impeachable, then why are so many GOP candidates running on the promise of impeachment? Oh that's right, fundraising... keeping the base believing and donating.

Conservative media has been about fleecing their audience for quite awhile now. Glenn Beck fearmongered about how you needed to buy gold while hawking gold in his spare time. Things like that.

Isn't this news(bi-assed Tea Party Brown nosing forgery expert report) from two years ago? I AM REALLY SURE I heard it before. There where so many I cannot tell you which this a repost of.

It's not just OCR that could be applied but other post-process filters meant to make a document more legible. For example, removing sensor noise or dust particles. And yes, potentially done in separate layers.

Actually it explains it exactly. I know you already understand how OCR works so I'm not sure why you're contesting pixel duplications for fields rendered as text..

And yes, if only some characters are recognized by the OCR and others aren't you could end up with only some appearing anti-aliased.

Since we don't know what software they used it'd be difficult to reproduce something exactly.

OCR is something you'd normally want when scanning PDFs, it was most likely part of whatever scanning software they used. You don't just want it so you can change the text, but so you can more easily copy the text to other programs. It's generally a useful feature, particularly if whoever scanned it was used to converting documents for some other kind of electronic archiving - if you've never looked at a PDF that's a scan of an old document and not resented being unable to copy its content for presentation somewhere else then you haven't dealt with enough PDFs of old documents.

They could have disabled it, and maybe they should have released an updated one with the post-processing disabled along with an explanation that it was on and why it was on. There's a chance that whoever made the scan didn't really know what they were doing in this regard.

You yourself admit that it makes no sense why they would forge the document, and it makes no sense that a forgery would look like this. Isn't software post-processing a much more plausible explanation than a deliberate concoction of what we see?

So why not be upfront about that? Why the lies and subterfuge? What reason is there for releasing a forgery AFTER all the heat is already on?
