Sure, 3 = 26 in your world...that makes a lot of sense.

Why did you bring it up anyway? Why did you assume I couldn't afford an SRT8? Why did you go there?

Makes no sense to take the conversation in that direction. Especially since I talk a lot about my 2008 GC, and have even used it in impromptu "stuck throttle" testing here. 😀

Was it just to divert from the fact that the 2011 5.7L and the 2010 6.1L actually are similar in performance, and you didn't realize that?

That's why the SRT8's needed a boost. The new 5.7L was now too close to it, for far less money. Thus the 6.4L...

You need to go educate yourself. I have already said what your think is 'close' performance wise is really not that close. Edmunds sometimes doesn't even test the cars themselves, if you look at more tests you will see the performance difference is different.

Also straight line performance aside the SRT8 is really a different car underneath, that's what you keep forgetting.

Whoa...mind bottling.

dude you do realize garage isn't for trolling. Stay out of my threads if you are going to be an asshat.

I am not sure what the freaking doubts are about. I just passed another certification yesterday, have 3 more to finish by September. I am traveling now not only 3 weeks out of the next 2 months, but all next week is tenatively scheduled as of my morning email.

I am not planning on buying my wife's car until July.

I am in no rush for a car and I definitely don't want to buy something I am not 100% happy with.

I am leaving this comment in the other post you trolled.

Supercars? I said I was hoping by July, but like right this second I am in a suv heading to a jobsite 1000 miles away from home. I will be here until the fourth then thurs/fri back out.

Stay tuned though Chester

Er, negatory, Sparky. You said you would buy your WIFE'S car in July. Hurry up and buy your Kia.

Other suggestions, if you don't mind getting into a dead platform:
Pontiac G8 Sedan
Pontiac GTO

Or, a still living platform
Caddillac CTS/CTS-V

All of these should get pretty decent gas mileage IMO, well over the EPA rating if you don't drive like an idiot

What about a nice Infiniti G35 or G37? Or 370z?

I know some of these may be below your straight-line acceleration requirements, but I think they could surprise you with their handling ability and be a lot cheaper too

lol just let alky be. When he wants to buy it he will. It's no real big deal, but I guess the Garage members got to do something 😛
