It's a shame that these editors' notes have put Milo's name back in the spotlight, but at the same time, they're great. They're a summary of everything wrong with Milo and his cheerleaders, really: he's a childish, genuinely hateful person who preys on ignorance (in addition to being ignorant himself) and cries "free speeeeech" whenever someone calls him out on his bullshit.

i tried reading a random page or two...

how the fuck can anyone write that shit, 200+ pages of diarrhea sprayed on a napkin

It is so incredibly painful to watch conservatives try and be funny. They never seem to understand that political jokes have to be funny first and political second.

I've noticed that a lot of conservative humor, at least lately, is mean-spirited. They don't just want to rib you a little; they genuinely hope you suffer. "Ha! Ha! I hope you get cancer!"

The majority of conservatives have no sense of humor. Mush less a sense of humor sophisticated enough to develop funny political jokes.

They are the powerful. A major aspect of political humor is punching the powerful (punching up) and not kicking the weak (punching down). It's why they scream so loudly about their victimhood while scrambling to maintain their stranglehold on power. It's a dichotomy of hypocrisy.

Power (as usual) reveals their character as lacking. When they are shunned from power, people like Rush will be the right's John Oliver once again, "righteously" lashing out at the powerful with humor for eager audiences who will immediately forget/block out what happened the last time they had power.

Sometimes they try to be funny and succeed for reasons they don't understand....

I've watched a lot of Milo's debates on YouTube. He's smart and the partisan left just doesn't know what to do about him. He makes great points that destroy the left and their lack of common sense. So what does the left do? They do what they always do, label anyone that doesn't jump on their totalitarian bandwagon a racist, a fascist, etc.

Milo is a stupid person's idea of what a smart person sounds like. While he is a shitty person for many of the reasons you mentioned more than anything he's just ignorant and not terribly bright. He's found that to a certain segment of society (you) it doesn't matter that he doesn't know what he's talking about so long as he's making liberals mad.

He makes great points time and again, so the left demonizes him and does the same thing they always do when they're cornered and lost the common sense battle, label the person taking them to task as a racist, bigot, fascist, call them names, etc. Same thing every time.

Ah yes, the nebulous 'great points' that liberals can't refute. Very compelling. His book is linked right in this thread, why don't you go pull out some of those 'great points' and totally demolish us with them?

Like I said, his primary problem is that he's not very bright.

I haven't read his book, I said I've watched several of his debates and clips of his debates.

Well then by all means provide us with some of those other irrefutable arguments. Don't link videos though, provide them in text format. Show us all just how brilliant he is!

lol.

I for one am totally shocked. I guess those perfect arguments that would totally destroy all these liberals will be forever out of reach. ;)

By the way I would recommend leafing through his book somewhat, it's pretty funny how inept he is as a writer. Even his own (conservative) editor clearly thinks he's an idiot and as it goes on the editor's comments become more and more contemptuous of him. Not because he's being too edgy or whatever, but because what he's saying is stupid and/or illogical.

His ideas are great but none of them made enough of an impression that you can write them down?!

I tried to read that document but all I got was that Milo really, really loves Milo before I gave up.

Who cares about this dirtbag.

I thinks he makes a great Republican and we should continue to refer to him as such.

Cool comments about his book bruh.

Now on to what I actually said... he makes some great points in his debates I've watched, really hammers feminists and left of common sense liberals. The over reactive left doesn't know how to handle him, he doesn't fit into their compartmentalized partisan stereotypes. He's well spoken and a good debater. The fact that the left practically riots when he is going to visit their safe space campus is very telling. Anything that threatens their totalitarian bubble is attacked viciously.

This was my one positive taken away from Trump winning. At least it gave the democrats (who tend to be the entertainers, the artists, the musicians... the creatives) unlimited canvases of humor to work with. If it was the other way around, we'd be stuck with conservative "humor" which just is never "right" in any shape way or form.

This is a pretty amusing article where they went through and found some of his editor's remarks on his work:

http://www.vulture.com/2017/12/milo-yiannopoulos-book-editor-comments.html?wpsrc=nymag

For example:

If you want to make a case for gay men going back into the closet and marrying women just to have children, you’re going to have to employ a lot more intellectual rigor than you use here.

Throughout the book, you’re [sic] best points seem to be lost in a sea of self-aggrandizement and scattershot thinking.

This is a stupid way to end a terrible chapter.

DELETE UGH

lol. And remember, this is his conservative editor, not some liberal snowflake critiquing his work.

Yes you keep saying that he makes these great points and then conveniently can't articulate any of them. lol.

We are all eagerly (?) awaiting these great points....
