I'm not impressed. Neither of the MX700s that came with my two MX Duo sets will charge anymore. This thread led me to try and have them replaced.

They want the receipts. Not a terrible request but I don't have them. Fail.

This might be a dumb question, but have you tried new batteries? Rechargeables go bad after a while.

Now the morons just emailed me willing to replace my full size MX Revolution mouse with a notebook mouse. 😕

I think i speak for many of us here when i say that, with an attitude like yours, i'm glad they haven't replaced your product. Call them, be civil. It can work wonders.

are u a moron? you can buy nimh's, they don't last forever.
second of all no mx700 made is still in warranty.
its an 8 year old mouse. if it breaks, live with it. goddamned man how cheap are you?

mines sitting in a box in the garage. still works. i'm not going back to such an old mouse though. the newer wireless are simply better, less trouble to charge, they use less power either aa or lithium ion batteries last way longer per charge.

I emailed them and was very civil. try not to assume.

Either way, they emailed me back and offered the Performance Mouse MX but said there is a 4 week backlog (or something to that effect). They are sending me a prepaid label to send off my Revolution. Guess I'll have to connect my old MX1000 in the mean time.

I think it would have been easier if you called them but it 's good that they are now sending you the Performance MX mouse. I hope the back log wasn't cause by me making this thread

The Performance MX back button took me a little while to get used, but it shits all over the MX Revolution in terms of comfort and precision.

My Mx610's middle button broke, I pried it apart with a knife before I found that if you peel the teflon pads off there are screw holes underneath, then proceeded to carve the contacts off the board with the knife and was off to the races with an operable mouse. A few weeks later I thought to actually call logitech and after about a 2 min conversation I had a replacement in the mail, and they didn't even want the old one back, no receipt, or even a vague idea of where I purchased it from.

i had an issue with a MX610 where the left click would only work occasionally. the mouse was only about 6 months old. fortunately i had kept the receipt. they mailed me a new mouse. not a bad customer service experience overall.

the only thing was that while researching the problem (i never thought the mouse would actually break), i found alot of people with the mx610's who had the same problem and it was caused by faulty hardware. i don't get how you design a mouse to have the left click wear out.

Same thing happened to me with my Logitech mouse. I replaced the two AA sized rechargable batteries. Not sure if your mouse is the same, but assuming the batteries are able to be replaced, do that.

I've been swapping between the originals and some newer rechargeables. Tried again today and now my mouse seems to want to charge. The other still refuses.

I'm a big fan of Logitech's support. My original Harmony remote died after 2 or 3 years of use. I went out and bought the same model on clearance at Target, but after a week, it died. Not thinking, I threw out the receipt for the replacement remote.

I submitted my claim explaining that and they ended up replacing both remotes, even though I had only wanted the one replaced. I was very appreciative and sent in a note stating as much.

yea some dumbass always brags about this sh*t in public and then opens them up to scamming and legit customer problems will always suffer in the end. so yea, great way to stab logitech in the back op.

Blame the scammer not OP for discussing the company with good press.

Have to bump this thread...

Sent an email last Tuesday asking about a replacement for my MX 518se mouse that was hanging intermittently. After a couple of emails the warranty status and faulty mouse was confirmed. I then sat on the email for 3 days before responding on Sunday with my shipping address. I got a response in a couple of hours on a Sunday that they would ship a new mouse and I just had to print a label to ship the old mouse back. Got the new mouse today, just 8 days after the first email (of which a 3-day delay was my own).

Logitech warranty rocks!

I've had very positive experience with Logitech warranty service in the past. Used it on a MX700, an MX1000, and on my current MX Revolution. Battery is starting to go on it again though, debating whether I should just retired it and buy a replacement. I like the Revolution though, damn good mouse.

I contacted logitech about my G5 dying randomly and they said they would replace it with a G500, but said I'd have to send my old mouse back. I told them this was my only mouse and I wanted them to send a new mouse first, then I could send the old one back. The guy said yes, but it remains to be seen if they sent a new one or not. I have'nt gotten a tracking number for the new mouse or a package yet, just a prepaid shipping label for the old mouse. guess I'll wait a few days to see.

See guys, they are requiring items to be sent in now. Thanks.

I have on old Dual Action gamepad (PS2 style for PC) and it just doesn't work anymore. It says the hardware cant be identified. I have an Xbox 360 pad and another Dual Action pad, so I'm not even going to bother doing an RMA.

Logitech makes quality products. Plain and simple. My speakers and mice have endured so much abuse, yet work just as new.

MS used to send replacements of their mice very easily also. They're so cheap (got a wireless optical for $12) that I guess it's not worth the hassle for them to verify and cross-ship. I stopped using them so don't know if they still do it.

Good to know that their warranty service is pretty pain free. I have a wireless KB/mouse combo that's probably about two years old. Works great, except the mouse has gotten kind of flaky, occasionally a single mouse click registers as two. It's not bad enough to make it unusable, though, and this set actually came with a five year warranty. So I might see if I can get another year or two of use out of it before sending it in for a replacement.

As long as you are actually within your warranty period and not trying to scam...they are awesome. Logitech is on my short list of companies that I love. Rosewill is on there too.

 for companies that still use common sense
