I'm planning on buying an HDTV. Initially I was going for a 42inch, then prices dropped and now the $900 i was going to get a 42inch with can get me a 46 or 47". Ok, so now Im looking at 47". right about to get the next one to go on sale in a weekly ad. I've seen a couple deals recently for DLP's. BestBuy has a 56 inch Samsung $1099 and 60inch Mitsubishi $999. I'm thinking the Mitsubishi. I start to wonder about DLP's and do some google research.
I had previously been avoiding them because I thought there image quality to be extremely inferior. According to every source I've seen they had "the best viewing angles," "bright images," and all that jazz.
I went to the store today. The DLP is not nearly as bright as LCD's. Granted stores image colors are fucked. But the viewing angle sucked too. Overall I Feel like I'm looking at something that's lost all its clarity.
Am I just messed or whats the deal? I always thought LCD's were much better quality... but every website I go to seems to disagree.
And Samsung and Mitsubishi are the onyl companies making DLP's, are they fazing out? If they were so good why are they fazing out?
