I subscribe to "informed delivery" from USPS. I get a daily email with pictures of mail coming that day. It comes in handy, especially if stuff goes awry. So coming today is this...

1659116179240.png
(this is a screen grab from the email) WTF

The fact that the "Donate Here" box is an active link and takes you to a donation page is the part I question. This is an email from the USPS.

I can hardly wait to throw this in the recycling can.

I've gotten mail that featured some special HTML elements in my Informed Delivery emails too, like the Valupak coupon packet. I don't know exactly what the arrangement is there, though.

If I was a scammer I'd been on that Trump bandwagon years ago... Why pretend that you're working for VISA and some elaborate scheme... when you can just write an email claiming to be The Donald and give me money...

I'm surprised people aren't talking about that incredibly horrible speech Donald Trump gave at CPAC in Texas.
I'm surprised that people aren't talking about the audience applauding the incredibly horrible speech and the things Trump said.
Other than the German language, this sounded like Adolf Hitler himself. Shit.... I thought Hitler was dead? Apparently he was cloned into Donald Trump, damn those Frankenstein scientist.

Where to start, where to start...
Trump went after the poor, the disabled, gays, drag queens, and what is this sudden obsession from the republican party with drag queens? I don't get it. Drag queens are not even necessarily gay, they are simply entertainers ENTERTAINERS just like.... Donald Trump. They entertain, they make people laugh, and they put on a show just like Donald Trump. And frankly, I'd rather see a drag queen as president than Donald Trump. Yet you have to admit, Donald Trump's hair is very drag queen-ish to say the least.

If you want to see a modern day NAZI ,and hear a modern day NAZI speech by that modern day NAZI, then watch Trump at CPAC.
I know to watch is asking a lot, but people really need to see how bad his vision for America truly is. Trump has Hitler beat hands down.
This guy is the anti-christ, no question about it.

The straw poll at CPAC has 69% of republicans supporting trump for pres, DeSantis was a distant second place @ 24%. Unless trump can’t run in 2024 for some reason, it’s his for the taking. And who ever runs if trump can’t will have to have his ‘blessings ‘ to have a chance.

Look at Lindsey Graham stump for the traitor, again, even after all we know about Jan 6th now.

What an absolute piece of rancid, treasonous shit. How he can show his face in public is beyond me. Do your country a favor and fucking die you racist traitor.

Indeed. You have them mocking the Dems for running ads to get more favourable opponents in November. But yet they don’t hold their own party accountable.

CNN actually interviewed Graham and played a clip of him after Jan6 saying "count me out, this.is too much". And Graham's live response to that was "that was about certifying the election".

No shame whatsoever. Unreal.

As a quick reminder here are the CPAC straw poll winners for the three years before the 2016 election: (they don’t count after 2016 because the party supports the president)

2013: Rand Paul
2014: Rand Paul
2015: Rand Paul

So uh… yeah.

Empty Gee now wants to be Trump’s running mate for 2024.

On the one hand, she’ll lose him votes, so it isn’t a completely bad thing.

On the other hand, if they win - Trump is an old man not in good health. That would leave Empty Gee as POTUS. The Battle of the Low Bar. There’s grossly unqualified and then there’s grossly unqualified combined with a clinical diagnosis of batshit crazy.

Oh, Graham has shame. Just not about this. In fact, I'm almost 100% positive that it's his shame that's driving his groveling behavior towards all things TFG ... if you know what I mean.

On the face of it its ridiculous right? But as you rev up "The Donald" simulator you find that the one thing that the orange menace values beyond anything is loyalty ... and whatever else is second on that list is a distant distant second.
He could totally pick her. He could. He would. Probably gonna.

He won't. I bet he thinks she is ugly and if for no other reason than that he wouldn't pick her.

Speaking of Nazis...

According to an excerpt from The Divider: Trump in the White House, 2017-2021 published in The New Yorker on Monday, Trump once griped to then-White House Chief of Staff John Kelly about what he perceived as disloyal generals. “You fucking generals, why can’t you be like the German generals?”

and

Trump has pined for the kind of loyalty shown to other dictators, as well. While praising Kim Jong-un in 2018, Trump said he wanted “my people” to treat him the same way North Koreans treat that nation’s murderous head of state. “He’s the head of a country, and I mean, he’s the strong head, don’t let anyone think anything different,” Trump told Fox News. “He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same.”

He cant be elected again...

That seems to be a 'thing' here as well. There must be something significant in the way the right have become fixated on this topic. (Next they'll be breaking up christmas pantomimes.). I don't like psychological theories of politics (as opposed to ascribing everything to economics) but it it seems hard to deny that fascism is related to a weird kind of anxiety about masculinity. Perhaps its as much a reaction to feminism as it is to economic inequality.

You left out the best part - where Kelly was like 'you realize Hitler's generals repeatedly attempted to murder him, right?' I mean they even made a movie about it! For someone so famously obsessed with loyalty you would think 'tried to blow you up' would be bad.

Also of potential interest to Trump, as the war went south Hitler increasingly replaced competent generals with ones he felt were more loyal and politically reliable, leading to predictably terrible results.

No I read it. Trump brushed it off.

Realistically if Trump had successfully couped the odds of assassination would skyrocket. Such is the burden of all dictators.

Not only did his generals (and many others) repeatedly try to kill him, but time-and-time-again he was saved by his incredible good luck.

Georg Elser's attempt was a particularly frustrating near-miss - unexpected fog meant Hitler had to go by train instead of flying, so left early, missing the bomb (that had been set a week before) by 13 minutes.

Really not sure how anyone could believe in a benevolent God after reading this list.

That Goring didn't get assassinated was actually a stroke of luck.
