then who does? Iran?
Saudi Arabia doesn't represent because the sheiks are just there to make money and free spend it all. They don't look after their own people. They don't care about their own kind.
No but you do! :laugh:Originally posted by: Aimster

And how messed up is that? Holding the threat of lashes over the head of a rape victim and her not knowing if or more likely when the lashes will be handed out?

Sounds like bureaucracy and red tape. If she gets lashed, that might be fvcked up. Until then, it just sounds like a stupid court ruling; they are a dime a dozen here in the states as well (heard about the border patrol agents serving prison time for accidentally shooting a drug smuggling illegal?).
Enjoy your circle jerk guys!

There are 1.5 billion Muslims in the world with the largest Muslim nations being democratic. With the largest Muslim nations having had women Presidents and women military officials. The Middle East is only 12-15% of the Muslim population. This includes the 70 million people in NATO Turkey who have women fighter pilots right now flying missions for NATO. They are flying F-16s. Good luck seeing that in Saudi Arabia.

She is being lashed for going outside without a male escort.
Saudi Arabia is the only nation in the world that has such rules forced on women.

It's a shame they can't make decisions based on intelligence or reason. The judges, basing their decision on Islamic law, also decided to sentence the woman and her original blackmailer to lashes for being alone together in his car.
He probably won't do anything more than maybe reducing the number of lashes. He probably couldn't appear to be "weak" or look like he's opposing Islamic law.The woman is appealing to Saudi King Abdullah to intervene in the controversial case.
