Unless there's an easier way to do it than use Display Properties/Advanced/Geforce4 ti4600 (tab)/NVRotate item, click your selection and then "OK" button, Pivot Pro is far easier to use. Pivot Pro sets up an icon in your tray for easy access, or you can get its menu by right clicking the Desktop. It came with my Planar PX191. However, I've never gotten in the habit of using it in the 1.5 years I've had my Planar. I've done virtually all my computing in landscape. Maybe dual monitors will motivate me to try using portrait for both displays. That would seem to be more ergonomic. However, video wants to be in landscape, as I discovered last night when I brought up my MyHD 120 HDTV card's application. It doesn't get rotated by Pivot Pro, and probably not by NVRotate either. I just tried NVRotate to get portrait and when I hit the Apply button, my screen went to 640 x 480 and a dialog popped up saying that NVRotate couldn't apply portrait to the current resolution! I'm running in 1280 x 1024, 32 bit truecolor.
