i'm driving along at speed limit behind a garbage truck. i stay about 8 car lengths behind because i don't like the smell.

the garbage truck and then i stop at a light.

just as the light turns green a moron passes about 8 of us (it's a one lane road with a left turn lane at the light) using the left turn lane, another car immediately behind passes us too. i'm really pissed, i give the 2nd guy the finger although i don't think he saw me as they went by too quickly. just as they pass the garbage truck, the rear lights of the second car starts blinking. it's a fvcking unmarked police car and he nabbed the moron that passed us.

that was sweet justice.

another story, there is a line of cars merging into the highway, it's my turn and i let the car immediately to the left of my go by so i can merge into the freeway, the impatient moron behind me thinks it's he should be able to go before me and merges in crossing solid white lines and trys to pull up even with me, i merge anyway, he swerves away and honks at me.

wtf, i hate morons that merge like that.

Doesn't even have to be all that new of a car. The normal headlights on my 1995 Oldsmobile are always on. Fog lights are controlled by a switch, though.

same here..my 99 olds alero does the same thing

how the hell would they confuse your headlights with brake lights?

What you do is paint your headlights red, and then drive everywhere in reverse, ready for such an opportunity. Either that or you'd need some kind of red lights that turn on at the back of your car when you turn your headlights on, but that's pretty complicated...

Fog Lights and normal lights wouldn't hit your rear view mirror unless it's a huge truck or something. High Beams might though.

But the most fun is to do exactly what you said, then wait for the idiot to decide to pass you, and then speed back up to the speed you were going before to piss them off just a bit more. Can be lots of fun.

This reminds me of my neighbor, his car had a switch inside that shot gas out the pipe and ignited it, cool effect. Well we were driving down the highway and some idiot was doing 100 and came right up on our ass and wouldn't back up... So he pushes down the clutch, gives it a bunch of gas and flips the switch, a 20 foot flame shoots out and over the hood of the car behind us... the guy slammed on his breaks and stayed like 20 car lengths behind us.

cause accidents/recklessly endanger much?

Hey, it wasn't me ;)

But yeah, the guys an idiot. I thought it was quite funny though.
definitely :D

Particularly if they are one of those idiots that can't seem to see the road without their headlights, foglights, driving lights and fvcking cigarette lighter lit up in my mirrors.

I do the same thing, particularly in residential areas. I have to drive through several 25MPH zones on my way to and from work. I do just under 30MPH (the roads are wide and you have a pretty clear view of things) normally, but several times a week I get some asshole behind me that just wants to blow through the neighborhoods. My rule of thumb is if I can't see your headlights, you're way too fscking close and I'm going to slow down enough to make that 2ft you've put between us a 'safe driving distance'. This usually means 15MPH - 20MPH. One time a lady started blaring her horn and flicking me off, so I stopped right there in the middle of the road. I leaned out my window and she leaned out hers. I said "back the hell off - there are kids playing in this neighborhood". She told me "those damn kids aren't my problem now move your ass!". I responded "well, sorry - my kids are out here so you're not getting by. I recommend you turn around and find an alternate route". We had a small crowd at this point. She pulled into someone's driveway, turned around, and sped off. When she kills herself, I sure hope she doesn't take anyone with her.

Note that this does not apply to the fastlane on freeways!!! If you're in the fastlane, you better be passing someone!

A car came flying up behind us, highbeams on, and jerking back and forth to, presumably, get us to move out of his way. I guess that jackass couldn't be bothered by using the passing lane.

Anyway, my buddy tells me to lean out my window and make absolutely sure it's not a cop.

Check.

He reaches behind his seat, pulls out a bowling ball, and gently places it on the roof of the car. It rolls down the back of the car and smashed into the tailgator. I don't know where it hit his car (my guess would be the radiator, followed by ripping the hell out of his undercarriage), but he disappared in a heartbeat. We quickly lost sight of him.

Don't know what happened, don't really care.

When I drove a Wrangler I got that every now and then too. On top of the lights being bright, they sit up relatively high. I too wonder what people said when they got a flash of the real deal ;) .

those idiots here that are driving slow in the the left lane are just as guilty as the speeders you are complaining about. its illegal not to move over to the right if you are going slower.

if you ever take any kind of highway safety course and look at the major causes of accidents, you'll notice they don't say speeding they say "differences in speed". slow drivers are just as dangerous as speeders.

kill yourself.

There is a HUGE difference between speeding in a neigborhood and speeding on the freeway. ANYONE who hits their brakes on the freeway is a COMPLETE moron unless they are on an offramp or someone is braking in front of them. Tailgating on the highway wouldn't be so dangerous if it wasn't for all of the stupid brake checker's who are more concerned about what's behind their car than what's in front of it. Left lane's for hauling ass, right lane for saving gas. Some of you guys really need to get lives thinking that you are chuck norris with your "lets see if I can piss off someone who's in a hurry" attitude. Karma is a b!tch. Just get the hell out of the way of faster traffic. It's no skin off your back.

And BTW you are the type who I run off of the road and into ditches and toss a grenade back for fun.

(a) In the right-hand lane available for traffic; or

(b) When preparing to turn left at an intersection, alley or private road or driveway.
(3) The offense described in this section, failure of slow driver to drive on the right, is a Class B traffic violation. [1983 c.338 §619; 1995 c.383 §57]

Class B = 2 points license $175 fine

So technically you can go 65 on a 64 mph freeway, drive on the far left, and still not be ticketed.

I've never seen a 64MPH speed limit. Where do you live?

Yeah... the people driving wrecklessly and insanely aggressively have nothing to do with the problem...

Hope your need to get from A to B at whatever costs don't get you hurt some day...

You know what I like to do to people like you? Switch lanes, get in front of you and then slam on my brakes.
