I live in a country that puts babies in cages

Somebody tell me this is a joke.

Someone PLEASE tell me the First lady didn't wear an "I really don't care, do you?" jacket on her way to meet with the immigrant children separated and being held.

tCCJcWBr
Not a joke.
I guess it's also possible she can't read? Thats probably a more palatable explanation I would say than the real truth.

Looking like DHS won't refer parents with kids to DOJ. DOJ still intends to prosecute whoever is referred which is why they deny there is any change.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Edit: In unrelated news Trump just predicted a red wave election.

Next up? Up is now down and red is blue.

Some one please explain the jacket to me? Was this just poor English on her part or did she just "womp womp" this messed up situation?

The lies keep rolling.

Session on CBN just now. We didn’t intend to separate families. Two. Just two days ago. You will be charged and you will be separated.

So, how long before Turmp and other conservatives suggest we resolve this problem by having cage fights?

FYI, the Running Man took place right around these years. Its not too late for Turmp to:
after a worldwide economic collapse, the United States has become a totalitarian police state, censoring all cultural activity. The U.S. government pacifies the populace by broadcasting game shows where convicted criminals fight for their lives, including the gladiator-style The Running Man

As Sessions and conservatives are keen to point out, these people are criminals.

Plus, Twitch streaming and PUBG/Fortnite show that there's clearly a thirst for Battle Royale.

Thoughts, prayers, and I really don't care.

Total. Tone. Deafness.

Bullshit. That's not tone deaf, that's intentionally being an asshole.

Can't wait for the bullshit excuse. "Some kid ran up and painted that on the back of her jacket!!! She didn't even know!!!"

Maybe she did get trolled exquisitely by someone that gave her that jacket (knowing what it says and how perfectly it epitomizes the Turmp's and Republicans and how fitting it would be for this specifically), that's the only explanation that is plausible that isn't them just straight up being assholes.

Funny (and sad) to see all the pictures of "kids in cages" under Obama. Under space blankets, sleeping next to shitters. And the Dems who voted and supported it, now seem outraged. When they were not then. Similarly to people here who were apparently fine with it before, because they didn't show otherwise, now feign outrage. Once again, upholding the laws that are made into existence, is wrong. Hows about changing the law.

Trying to decide which is the bigger show of hypocrisy for the left. This, or the complete lack of outrage of the Fonda fiasco. Where he wanted a 12 year old boy to be kidnapped, gang raped, and uses a sexist slur against a woman. But hit Twitter that he used it still perfectly active, and his movie is still set to release. Zero repercussions. The double standard is just really pathetic. Once again shows that Dems don't actually care about issues; racism, bigotry, sexism, violence, etc. They allow and promote them when happen to certain types of people. But not to others.

More lies and distraction. Keep up the good work. The central committee will be very happy with your efforts and you just might get your very own silver shirt.

How has Nielsen not stepped down? She blatantly lied to the American people. She didn't have the deft insidiousness to use Trump's bullshitting methods. She just lied unequivocally. If you're in this admin and you don't know how to obfuscate, GTFO.

And the House GOP has just shelved the "compromise" immigration bill after the hardline bill failed earlier today. Doesn't look like they can pass anything at all.

If the Dems take the house in 18 they should pass the 2013 Gang of Eight bill. If somebody told Trump that it contains almost double what he wants for border security and they'll call it the "Wall Wall Wall Act" he'd probably sign it.

That’s a badge of honour. It’s telling the truth that riles up the base.

Trump demands that Congress acts then viciously kneecaps his own party's caucus at every single opportunity (and even creates some new ones). It's almost like he wants to run on immigration for the midterms and that doing something controversial that would generate press was the idea. Only it kinda (really) got out of hand and he lost control of the narrative and had to backtrack some.

While a turnover of one or both houses for the Dems isn't assured it, right now, looks very unlikely that the GOP will have a larger majority in the House or more than a couple seat gain in the Senate under the most optimistic projections. But it seems he's convinced he can bend the universe to his will at every turn, guess we'll test that again.

It's all the fault of the completely powerless minority party. I guess if he's been yelling this meme long enough it's working on his base of supporters.

It's just a friendly reminder to the employers of illegals that their supply of $1/day slave labor won't be interrupted. That's a good thing as it helps keep inflation in check since otherwise they might need to pay minimum wage and offer benefits, we can't have the Fed see wages rising since otherwise they might bump up interest rates.

Anybody who won't vote for the Gof8 legislation that passed the Senate overwhelmingly in 2013 should be booted out of office, regardless of party.

Another completely false narrative from glenn1. Progressives aren't the ones advancing the cause of neo-slave labor. Those would be the "small business owners" and "job creators" predominantly voting R. They are the ones forcing illegal labor to stay in the margins by denying a path to citizenship.

Oh right, the path to citizenship which means they can apply for citizenship after 10 years of hiding from the law and getting paid sub-minimum wage. That makes sense, we want the staffers getting too complacent in their positions and we need to inject some need blood periodically once they're eligible to make that big minimum wage money.

We will return to non sequitur theater after these messages...

Don't take my word for it. Just look at the effect DACA has had on illegal labor. Granted, these are illegals who've had the benefit of American schools and higher education, but who still couldn't fully participate until DACA gave them a right to work. Generally, as a group they've been able to achieve better employment with a legal right to work.

Works for me, I'd much rather hire an illegal than a native-born progressive anyway and evidently millions of employers feel the same way given black youth unemployment rates north of 40%.
