I think you are missing the subtle point TIME is making here besides the fact that this IS going on... point being, that child is not a real refugee just like Trump is not a real president.. You realize that officials and the press have not been allowed in to the facilities, right? The only photos they have are taken with a telephoto lens, provided by DHS/HHS, or crowdsourced (from people either claiming to work in the facilities or claiming to have had contact with the children through courts, transport or public health system.)

Not sure where the crying girl photo came from, but I'm sure it can be sourced back to the photographer.

They are presenting something of a false narrative. As far as I know, no mainstream news organization claimed that the girl and her mother were separated. I do believe that I saw several stories where it was reported that they didn't know if the two would be separated but that's about it. What's being tossed around by the deplorables is nothing but the usual propaganda attacks

Incidentally in other practices the detained children are now apparently being forced to say the pledge of allegiance each day before we get around to apparently deporting them in most cases...
