Does Canada just copy the states on this issue? Why should somebody in Canada care about Bush and DST? Even without standard time it's going to be dark up there in the winter.
You are our biggest trade partner. Different time would make it chaotic.

You get it back at the end of the year plus you gained an extra day in February. Quit your complaining!Yeah, I feel like I got robbed an hour out of my weekend.
Why would it? New York deals with California without issue, and they're never on the same time.
But as you know, Ohio winters are more often gray than sunny. Especially, I think, for y'all in the Cleveland region. Not jealous of that lake effect whatsoever!
Ya, but New York is consistently 3 hours ahead of California year round.
If Canada didn't follow, Toronto would be 1 hour ahead/back of New York for like October and March but same every other month of the year. A huge chunk of our TV comes from the US -- Canadian channels buy the rights to US shows -- and shows would be 8 eastern, 7 central except in October and March.

We would need a bunch of new timezones and code everything to use them.
ITT: DST dissed.
I only hate the start of DST. D:
i have always wanted timezones to be gradient. so as you move your time changes. driving east to the store? it just got like 5 seconds later.
I'm indifferent about whether or not we stick to DST indefinitely, but the idea of jumping forward or backward an hour on a 2-a-year basis is just indescribably idiotic and serves zero point whatsoever unless politicians are just a bunch of trolls.
Love DST. Keep DST forever... Fuck this poverty dark by 4pm shit we have to endure from November through February.
What the hell is the point of 4-ish months of early darkness?
Best thing Bush did was extend DST.

Are you guys really that retarded that you can't adjust to an hour time difference? Besides I would take an hour extra daylight in the evening than when I'm driving to work. I guess if you're a retiree that goes to bed at 8pm, it would be annoying.
This.

Soo...instead of sleeping in until 10 am...I'll be sleeping in until 11 am?
Damn...I just don't see a downside to that...well...except I'll lose an hour of thinking about things I ought to be doing...if it would stop fucking raining here.
(I love being retired...no fucking schedule!)
