Maybe the Trump campaign will finally just get busted for not colluding with Russians, but how about just about everything else.

Lol the second wave being experienced by other countries is a disaster. But if this first wave he made is like this, can’t imagine how much worse the second wave will be in the US. And can’t wait for other countries to question the HSS numbers.

I'd like to know how absentee voting, which is literally vote by mail, is ok but universal vote by mail is somehow bad.

Wait, no I dont. My head will spontaneously explode. I am not outfitted with paradox-absorbing crumple zones #trumplogic

So far he only appears to be believed by people who want to vote for him...

There is a reason down ballot GOPs are loading their pants, he's telling their voters not to vote. Which goes without saying is an uh unusual electoral strategy.

So COVID-45 is openly advocating for delaying election until it can be made safe...

Fuck GOP and everyone who still supports that party.

Don't forget in the meantime to get your kids back in school and the people back to work and all the stores, etc. open now, we can worry about the election until it's safe.

The maggot colony that controls the Purulent torso has failed us all at every level and his body count keeps rising.

I strongly dislike Joe, but, I concede that no doubt remains. He is clearly the lesser of 2 evils.

Really hate the 2 party system right now.
We have shit sandwich, or half a shit sandwich ... both are poor options.

There will be no second wave here. It will be one continuous wave with the insertion of the seasonal flu. It is a complete cluster.

If you want to know how hot the Dems are that their caution in the face of the GOP in 2008-16 will not be repeated if Biden ejects Trump from the WH and they secure the Senate: Obama just called for the elimination of the filibuster.

Yea, so you've been watching the funeral also. Yep, Obama made a major appeal to enact the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. Very nice tributes from all the presidents attending.

Obama laying runway for the Dems/Biden to swiftly and dramatically reform the country's political landscape and electoral process is the best thing I've seen in days.

I still don't know about Joe.... Recent polls show the race tightening. Some predict another scenario where Biden wins the popular vote and Trump wins the electoral college. Like that's never happened before..... SO, we have the polls tightening and Joe slipping and Harris not making that much of an impact, and we only have 11 weeks to go until the election. ELEVEN FRICKIN WEEKS FOR GODS SAKE . Add to that everything currently going on with Trump, his dismantling of the US postal system, his ignoring of the pandemic, his killing of his own brother, and his starting up the birther thing all over again, and with all of that I still have to ask myself WHO THE HELL IS SUPPORTING THIS CLOWN? From where and whom does Trump get his super-human political powers? W..T..F.. are his supporters thinking? You do realize that if Donald Trump is re-elected in 11 weeks, that means Trump will pick still another US Supreme Court justice, and possibly two more, and having John Roberts as the tie breaker and the last ditch voice of decency will no longer matter. Having a Donald Trump stacked US Supreme Court will mean horrific high court decisions straight down the line. John Roberts can't help, RBG will be gone, and whatever idiocy within the pea brain of Gorsuch and Kavanaugh and probably the next justice William Pryor Jr. will rule the day. Rule the day for some 14600 days, i.e. some 40 years. If Donald Trump should win, just imagine THAT for the next four years.

Ok... you may all crap your pants now..... o_O

I dont understand it either. IMO, Trump's approval should be in the 20% range, but it is what it is. I have been roundly attacked in these forums for saying Biden has a lot of weaknesses, but I think the polls are starting to reflect that now. Just not a candidate that inspires any kind of enthusiasm, and the "he's not Trump" is starting to wear thin as his biggest attribute. I was hoping Kamala would give him a boost, but so far it appears she hasnt. It also doesnt help that Trump has basically a 2 hour campaign rally (thinly disguised as a press briefing) nearly every day, while Biden is hardly visible, and when he is, makes one gaffe after another.

You think, "not trump" is wearing thin? Lol! Give me an example of anyone you know who said they weren't going to vote for trump who is now having second thoughts.

The cake is baked, trump will get 40% of the vote and that's it (+/-5%).

As per 538 Biden’s lead is currently 8.4%, which is about 0.4% less than a month ago. It is about 1 point down from Biden’s high water mark

I think before Election Day though it is likely the race will tighten further in that my gut finds it hard to imagine a ten point blowout in our polarized era. That being said Trump is currently losing by the largest margin of any incumbent in the history of scientific polling. Super human political powers, lol.

Again, I’m not sure why you guys like telling yourselves made up stories so that you can feel bad.

Why are you citing an individual poll instead of the polling average?

For example: race has become a blowout - Biden now up by 12.

Probably by a point or so in reality but careful with the CNN/SRRS poll.

An enormously under appreciated truth of this race is how remarkably stable it has been. This is absolutely not 2016. If you're an incumbent with poor approvals, are rampantly distrusted, and like 90% of the country is dissatisfied you need to see some more volatility to really think you've got a good shot. It doesn't exist so far.

Exactly. While we of course have to include the endless and tiresome caveat that things can always change opinions of Trump are pretty baked in at this point as the polling shows. Sure, things swing a few points either way but overall it's remarkably stable. Remarkably stable is bad news for Trump.

I understand the concern with this ONE poll. Here is the info on the poll.

“The pool of battleground states in this poll includes more that Trump carried in 2016 (10) than were won by Hillary Clinton (5), reflecting the reality that the President's campaign is more on defense than offense across the states. Taken together, though, they represent a more Republican-leaning playing field than the nation as a whole.”

I like this because it makes the need to vote more important. Averages still show a wide margin with ABC News shows him at 12%. The average is still at over 8%. Voter enthusiasm is very high. Highest ever at 53%. Should indicate record turnout. If it sets records with 150 million votes, that increases Biden’s chances and even looks positive for a Democrat majority in the Senate.
