Lol that god damned opinion piece literally has the words "both sides" in it.

And Id like to know whats wrong with that? Do you honestly think most people are way right or way left? And you dont think a rational person could literally like things from either party? Seriously? You dont think centrists have a place in the world?

If you can’t determine the difference between the two candidates, then the problem isn’t with the candidates, or the two-party system, or politics as usual. The problem is with you.

Never have I stated they were alike. In fact, on several occasions, I have stated both sides are equally as bad, but on different issues. Stop putting words into my mouth.

But shouldn’t the point be which is less bad? That’s why none of us get the Bros. What’s more important, to get someone to represent your values to get rid of a truly incompetent moron in chief? As much as all of you say we never supported Trumpity Dumpity, your actions are indicating otherwise.

Bothsides is actually a form of gaslighting.

It breeds cynicism & inaction. In our current situation it's also borderline delusional. A lot of people apparently were when they voted for Trump in the first place. Just a little crazy at just the right time for him to win. It turns out that Trump is crazier all the time than they were at the time. You know, a complete fuck-up & a total disaster. A lot of them won't do that again, I figure.

I saw an anti-Biden ad today that kinda shows how desperate they are to get something to stick. It was a fake answering machine for a police department saying they can't respond due to budget cuts with riot footage and the extremely telling warning 'Joe Biden's supporters want to defund the police.' Yeah, not Biden himself, just ambiguous supporters. It was so over-the-top I almost thought it was a parody.

There are a couple of posters here who would think that was some kind of head shot ad and great.

I saw the ad too and I thought it wreaked of desperation.

When you've got nothing to run on, run on fear and hate. It worked once for trump but it won't work again.

I dont think they can. They have a fucking 6 point deficit in Florida, 3 in Ohio. Either one of those go down hes toast. 7 points in Pennsylvania, same story. Those are expensive markets and they have a long way to move the needle. Playing defense in Arizona or Texas aint getting them there. Biden is playing spoiler in those red states (Georgia included).

Bad news is their war chest is massive... they can afford it.

They've spent hundreds of millions and ended up with an 8-12 point deficit nationally, growing gaps in states he won in 2016, and firmly red states becoming suddenly competitive. The money ultimately doesn't mean anything when the candidate is out there fucking things up every 10 minutes and he won't stop.

Not to mention that Joe is out-raising Trump. Now is the time most two-term seeking candidates turn to the middle, not Trump. He is standing on his first win tactics of racism & division. His campaign can't/won't stop him. I say let Trump be Trump and let him lose this on his own. And thanks Trump for being such a stubborn asshole.

See no need to get ugly in the campaign ads. And again, this is why I see nothing being done against Trumpity Dumpity for obstruction of congress. Biden rather repair a nation than continue down this division. But this being said, state charges are still fair game from stuff he’s being investigated before 2017.

A big Trumpworld (and some Dems) assumption was that Biden would not be able to raise the money needed for a national campaign and organization on the ground across the country. Clearly an idea that was entirely wrong. His primary opponents have come together and are raising truckloads of cash for him as well. Even the DNC having been reorganized and revitalized is seeing a huge influx of funds.

Yes thats the point. But there are more choices than R or D. Thats usually the best choice, and the choice that more closely matches my wants for a POTUS. The problem with most D's and R's, is if you support even one thing from someone on the other side, all of a sudden you are labeled as a full supporter. Which is bullshit.

Yea, that ad with the no one home at the police department, just an answering machine, is running over and over in the Twin Cities. It is very clever actually. A total distortion of what would happen under Biden, but just skirts outright lying enough to make it hard to prove it should be banned from the air. For sure it will rile up the base. Hopefully the undecideds will see through the distortion and be offended enough to vote for Biden. I dont count on it though. It is just like advertising: keep saying something over and over enough times and some may start to believe it. So far, there has been no real counter response from Biden.

Biden need not respond to Trump trying to change the subject & shift away from the issues. Rona gonna kill a lot more people than criminals, particularly in States that followed Trump's lead.

Biden's ads have been pretty decent this cycle but this one knocks it out of the park given the mood of the country

Great ad-plays up one of Biden's main strengths-his simple, basic human decency. Here's an interesting reprint of an article about the end of his solo train rides (after he got the VP nomination and got the security entourage):
