I left for work with the insight HP touchpad open on my browser. I came back, read this; refreshed my the insight tab. And danm.. need to create an account and Insigth keeps saying "Please check the Billing address. It couldn't be verified" and now the website is superslow and buggy.
:'(

Its 10:04 pm and insight website is about to crash.

Edit: Yup, website is showing $149 for the 32GB model - when it loads.😀

Okay, WTF HP. Just clicked on my shipping confirmation number and this is what Fedex is showing

So my unit was shipped last year! and to Las Vegas!

I may have just placed an order at Insight.

I'm probably about 284,594th in line though.
Their site is getting hammered and nailed.

Fuck you Insight. Not taking any calls at 3 PM when you were supposed to be open from 8 AM to 8 PM. And now when I stop checking for an hour or two, all touchpads are snapped up.

Some approximations:
- 15+ attempts to get the damn thing to stay in my cart and have the next page load properly
- 3 attempts to create an account
- 4 attempts to stay logged in
- 1 errored-out payment attempt
- 1 checkout completion
- 1 payment hold on my Visa

Pages would constantly just come up blank, or on rare occasion, would display an error message. But apparently something got through. Seems the odds are slim though that it'll actually translate into a Touchpad.


Their site's seeing more action tonight than it's seen throughout the preceding part of the year. 🙂

I got a tracking number for last night's BestBuy.com order - ETA prior to 3pm tomorrow. I also ordered two via phone from MacMall - I was waiting in the queue for over an hour, but finally got through. I was told they were in stock, so I expect to get those as well.

I thought about getting a 32Gb, but went for all 16's - two for friends and one for me. I'm still not sure how much I'll use this, but if I end up using it a lot I may end up getting an iPad3 down the line.

Glad I went for one heres to hoping it happens now that the Android 2.2.1 has leaked and hoping its legit the guy is supposed to dump the files tomorrow.
