I dont get what the big deal is myself..

You don't get the 60-100% humidity with your heat like the northeast and midwest does.

are you stoned or just stupid?
Houston does in fact gets CRAPLOADS of Humidity...
do some freaking homework before you talk..
http://www.weather.com/weather/wxdetail/77478?dayNum=4&from=weekend
type in 77478 in your weather.com.. and then do some reading..
right now its at 60%
this weekend its goign to be back up to 75% and most of the time its higher than that..

Good lord, are you defensive or just have a small penis?

Yes, Houston and points east do have a bit higher average humidity and temps. But you do not have the near constant below freezing temps 4 months out of the year the north has. When accounting for body acclimation to temp variances, it's much harder for people in the north to deal with the heat.

Well, Texas doesn't have snow, but the humidity does make for some bone-chilling cold come wintertime.

But back to hot...

The definite summer winner stateside (IMHO) is west Louisiana: hot, humid, muggy (from the swamps...think humid that smells funny and tastes bad), bugs like you couldn't imagine, and just to show that God has it out for you--a flash thunderstorm every day at mid-afternoon

[Edit] And you're right...that was rather defensive...

My car doesn't have air conditioning, and it's a solid black '98 Subaru Forester.
Yeah, it is my way of screwing the enviroment for being this hot.

After that car has spent 8 hours in the 90-100 degree weather (SC), there isn't much to do on the drive home. Having four windows down doesn't even put a dent in the heat the interior of the car radiates continually, and remember not to touch any of the plastic, it's all melting. Yes, the plastic dash in my car is melting. I wish cracking the windows actually did something, but for now, I'll just drive really fast.

By the way, if I weren't so poor I'd get something enviromentally friendly, but as luck would have it I got a good deal on that vehicle, so too bad.

You think we're weak Ryan, psshhhhhhht can it. Your frail self would crumple and wither in the Windsor / Detroit humidity.

I'll take "WEAK" over certain other "conditions"...

I live a few blocks from the beach - 100% humidity all year round FTW.

Living "a few blocks from the beach" guarantees 100% humidity eh?

I'd love to see some stats on that.

97 feels like 107 about 2 hours north of Detroit.

It wouldn't be that bad except that I got into work to a fried A/C unit in the server room. The room made it to about 150 before the servers started turning off.

I love how people go into these threads and start a penis waving fest about who can handle what extreme weather.

Do any of you guys do hard labor in these extreme weathers all day? If not, stfu.

101 today in Minneapolis. The last time we hit 100 or more was July 13, 1995.

But handling it fine; I'm chillin in my house with the central AC set to 80. :)

I'm fine as long as I'm in a building, but the A/C in my car is busted :( Really though, the heat doesn't bother me all that bad as long as I've got something cold to drink.
